No Jerry Butler, Hull & Wolford, Mike Stratton, Henry Jones, Billy Shaw, Haslett, Tasker??

I'd question - Kelso (Henry Jones) & Schulz (SS - Maybe Leonard Smith)

Current Bills...I might take Clements over Odomes who had a pretty short career here. Especially if Nate stays. Schobel is #2 career sacks.

I believe Steve Freeman was a Safety, not a Corner.

Never liked ole Schulzy. The way this board can rip on Coy, they should see footage of Kurt playing. Always seemed to make a big hit when someone already had the ball carrier wrapped up, but could never make a solo tackle.

Just last night watched the comeback game (tivo) and man that dude was whiffing all over the place!!

Someone else mentioned, but I would also replace Gash with Braxton.

And while if I was building a team I would have Reich as the backup, I think Fergy was the better QB.

For each position, I ordered them based on who I thought was the best player I saw at that position. That said, I don't remember seeing anyone before the early 80s teams of Ferguson, Butler, etc. So, any player with an asterisk is one that I know is worth putting on this list, though I never saw them play.

Coach - Marv Levy

QB - Jim Kelly, Jack Kemp*, Joe Ferguson, Frank Reich

HB - Thurman Thomas, OJ Simpson*, Cookie Gilchrist*, Joe Cribbs

FB - Sam Gash, Jamie Mueller

WR - Andre Reed, Jerry Butler, Frank Lewis, James Lofton, Eric Moulds, Don Beebe

TE - Jay Riemersma, Pete Metzelaars

OL - Kent Hull, Jim Ritcher, Will Wolford, Reggie McKenzie

DE - Bruce Smith, Phil Hansen

NT/DT - Fred Smerlas, Jeff Wright

LB - Shane Conlan, Cornelius Bennett, Daryl Talley, Jim Haslett, Bryce Paup

CB - Nate Odomes, Steve Freeman, Antoine Winfield

S - Mark Kelso, Henry Jones

P - Chris Mohr, Brian Moorman

K - Steve Christie, Scott Norwood

ST - Steve Tasker, Steve Tasker, Steve Tasker

Items worth mentioning in no particular order:

Sam Cowart was going to be a stud until he hurt his achilles

I don't know why Riemersma didn't last longer - GREAT receiving TE, in my opinion

Kent Hull had to be the best C of the early 90s

Guys like Lofton, Paup, & Gash should be on this list, even though they made a name for themselves elsewhere

Is Tasker on the Wall of Fame? He should be by now....maybe the NFL HoF??

I think Paup was a member of the Bills when he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

Based on how many defensive players that people list from the so called "glory years" one would think that D would have been dominant. If that D was dominant the Bills would have a few SB titles under their belts. I think that a few people have romanticized that team a little bit.
