What if...

You can't be serious.

There's no way the stadium would be without power a week from now. There's a thing called prioritizing and guess what-if there was a game tommorrow, there would be power at the stadium by tommorrow, because an event like a Bills game has enough clout to get the National Grid, NYSEG or whoever has the power franchise out there to make damn sure there's power.

Yep. Same way New Orleans is still a disaster area but the Saints are back in the Super Dome

The people be damned, there's football to play

You make it sound as if everyone cares more about football than the people themselves. That is not the case here. The Superdome and the Saints are probably the easiest and quickest way for the city to make money for their extremely damaged economy. They need the money to get back into circulation there and that is not only the best way but its what all the fans there want.

The Ralph must have generators........  This is the 21st century, right?

804152[/snapback]

Nope. No reason for the Ralph to have generators. Unlike HSBC, which has to have generators to keep the ice frozen.

Do you think some government agency or private enterprise just has to snap their fingers and in a day or two, all is hunky-dory? That's like those people in New Oreleans expecting the feds to wipe their fannies in 72 hours tops...

My brother is still without power in Orchard Park..says he may not have any until next weekend...wonder what the plan is if the Stadium doesn't have electricity???

I have power as of 10 pm Friday. The Ralph also has power. The neighborhood next to Danny's has no power! Your brother should move next to The Ralph.

Since I trully believe that the NFL has something against us, it would be enough of an excuse to move the game to NE...Watch the power lines, you have power now, but will you next sunday? after all we can't allow Tom Brady to have less than perfect lighting, can we?

Next time it snows, or if the snow hasn't melted yet, take a look around and see which streets are plowed and which ones aren't. The priority is about the same for electricity repairs.

Just think of when it snows a couple of days before a game & the Bills put out a call for citizens to help shovel the Ralph for some small $. Try to get some of those same people over to someone's house to help him get his car out of the driveway & see how many people show up.

NFL football has priority over just about every homeowner, tenant etc who lives in WNY when it comes time for cleanup or electric repair. Some people may not like it, but when you can generate $ in revenue because 70,000+ people are showing up at your place, all you have to do is snap your fingers & stuff gets done.
