quincy Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Looks like they chose the younger non ST WR over the older non ST WR. Gabe has seven catches for eighty eight yards over four games. A lot of people are down on and want to move on from Keon, I can understand that but Gabe is nothing special either right now. boyst Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Pure hunch with no speculation... The Bills did not see him being a factor in the game plan. The Pats CBs are good and didn't see the benefit of putting him on the field in slippery conditions. Having a linear vertical threat with Palmer was sufficient. This also goes for Benford. Having him rest on slippery surface in this matchup was to simply save him and his body. Maye has good stats and has played well but quite literally isn't what people who don't pay attention think. His outside the hash passes and windows are pretty big by the scheme more so than talent. This means great CB play would be mitigated. Flipping back to topic ... Davis in routes, hooks, and flares weren't gonna be the factor. The TE's, RB's and middle of the field were. Against Cleveland we will use Davis to give him the reps but it'll be different. It'll be live fire reps for the playoffs. The pass rushes we may face cojld be important: Texans and Broncos. The Browns and Eagles will be bringing the heat. Josh won't have time to let plays develop for Davis. Like he didn't yesterday until the Pats fell apart and went full ###### on defense 2 Quote
Free Speech Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) Toss 'em in a Yahtzee cup and roll the dice. The only one with consistent targets is Shakir, and it's usually on third down 2-3 yards short of the first down marker hoping he can RAC for the first down. I will never understand not even trying to execute pass plays to the marker. Edited 12 hours ago by Free Speech 2 Quote

WickedGame Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago He was held out because they didn’t want to catch too many passes. He’s in danger of leapfrogging half our WR room. Gabe falls apart when he jumps from #4 to #1. Quote
Juice_32 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Gabe is better than Keon in every way. Gabe is also not good. Keon is not an NFL talent. Quote

Simple as that from what i've seen At this point I take Hollins over Palmer any day so far... add in the Salary difference and its a no brainer... Hollins brought something to the room people loved... 1 3 1 Quote

zow2 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I really feel like the Bills are a better team when Keon is off the field. They just are. I don't think Gabe is all that good anymore either to be honest. Quote

I can't stand Coleman, he seems like he has an entitled attitude, but that was an awesome block, textbook block driving his legs through the entire block. Will never be called a hold when it's blocked like that. However that was his moment. 1 Quote

I think it's been widely reported that Josh pukes prior to virtually every game. When asked about it afterward he even said that apparently he didn't get it all out pre-game. 3 1 Quote

I agree with this and I would include Bernard as well in this mix... hated to see him get hurt but really happy to see the upgrade in Shaq.... with respect to Gabe... I am not ready to get there... I think he is coming off a pretty significant knee injury... lets see how it plays out... 1 Quote
harmonkillebrew Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Gotta give Coleman the chance to step up after his issues. He's still potentially the future. But apart from a mean run block he was pretty much invisible. If he doesn't show more, we might end up back with Gabe over Coleman. I'd love to see a little Josh-Gabe deep ball. That used to be one of Gabe's specialities Quote

Josh said in the post game that he wasn’t sick, just went back to him saying that is something he does every week before the game and also sometimes during the game or after the game. Quote

Gabriel Davis (2025-2025) vs. Keon Coleman (2025-2025): Head-to-Head Stats Comparison Neither of these guys were likely to get separation against the Pats CBs But before the game, I would have said Gabe's the better blocker. It's harder to say that now. I still think Gabe is better during scramble drills and that's always a big part of our offense, considering our QB and the fact that we use only 5 blockers in pass pro more than any other team in the league. sven233 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago We have to be the only team in the league where the prerequisite to getting on the field as a WR is not about route running or catching the ball, but how well you block. May as well find a few more "Jackson Hawes types", put them at WR and just block everyone. Our outside WRs never get the ball anyway, so you may as well taking the blocking shtick to the next level. You can obviously still have them run routes because teams will still have to honor them as a "threat to maybe catch something" but make sure you get the best possible blockers out there. Quote

Well now…change Hawes to a wide receiver…I kind of like that idea…..if we are gonna block with the WR’s make it really good blocking! Anderson checks in as eligible, add TE Knox , FB Gilliam and WR Hawes. And pound the ball with RB Cook. As a change up send Knox, Hawes, Gilliam and Cook out for passes. Quote
