Bosa: what Von was supposed to be

We definitely need another pass rushing DE. Bosa will likely sign somewhere for around $25M/yr if he finishes the season healthy.

Bosa has made a couple of big plays in each of the last two weeks to help win the game, or seal the victory. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a bit of an uptick in snap counts for Bosa come playoff time. On the season (prior to today), he has been getting an average of 64% of the defensive snaps. The four games prior to today, he was averaging a 61% snap count. Today, however, he played 75% of the defensive snap counts (playoff-level type of game). The only other games he topped 70% snap counts this year was vs. Miami (1st matchup), New Orleans, and K.C (he played 86.9% of snaps in that Miami game). Wouldn't be surprised to see his playoff snaps be closer to 73-75%, rather than 61-64%.

 

 

Hoecht definitely showed he was worth signing in the offseason. Can’t wait to have him back.

 

Big Ed and Bosa will definitely be leaned on in the playoffs.  Bosa should see increased time, Ed may need to come on slowly, but will need to make an impact.

I believe Bosa loves it here. His reaction after he made that play on the sidelines is everything every Bills fan wants to see from the players

Hopefully, Bosa continues to heal up. It would be great if the Bills got off to a strong start next week and put the game away early! That would allow us to limit his snaps before Philly.

100% agree he loves it here and we love him but I’m not signing him to a long term deal. 1 year $20 mil sure thing you’ve earned it but I’ve seen enough from him in the past to know long term investment will not go well for us

Ya I want to see it in the playoffs before we worry about next season for Bosa. He has all the physical tools, and he’s made some splash plays at big times. He’s also been mid and sometimes disappointing especially against the run despite always being physically dominant. He does not seem to have good instinct or awareness at times. 

 

Despite Beane and McDermotts years long crusade to bolster the defensive line, we somehow find ourselves playing a defensive tackle at DE…and next year it isn’t lining up to be any stronger with the only returning DE NOT coming off significant injury is Groot. Hoecht and Landon Jackson will both be off major ligament repairs, and Solomon isn’t trusted to even play the position he’s listed as. He’s even lost out on the NASCAR package. 
 

People laugh and roll their eyes when I say it but prepare yourselves for a round 1 DE in 2026. 
 

That all said…Bosa and Groot are going to be relied upon heavily come playoffs. I suspect when they make it there, it will be a 3 man rotation with Epi spelling the top two guys in a rotation.

Sadly I think you’re right. I think Bosa will get one more payday, and it won’t be here
