It doesn't matter who the Texans QB is with that defense.  It's that defense that wins for the Texans.  Playing them at home, in prime time makes it harder.

I agree. I’m not all that high on Stroud anyway. It certainly doesn’t offset getting the Bengals without Burrow and Chase.

I know Terry won't make a change but there is a good chance Tomlin will be available. He's never had a losing season and when he did have a legit QB (Ben) he got past Brady and Manning and won a Super Bowl. Speculation with the media here in the NYC area is the Giants will be very interested if he does leave Pittsburgh.

So you want another guy that should have been fired years back.  As read in a number of places, the game may have passed Tomlin by.  Even when he had Big Ben, he only won SB one time.  Excluding Allen's rookie year, McD has never had a losing season either when he had a legit QB so why would Tomlin be an upgrade?

I'd keep McD forever if my only other choice was Tomlin!

Tomlin is just McD all over again. Same philosophies, same issues hiring coordinators, heck they were even teammates on the same college team.

If/when we move away from McD we need a major change. Either a hot shot young OC, or a more aggressively-minded coach like Vrabel.

I do think Tomlin and the Steelers part ways, and I don't see McDermott getting fired so he won't be the Bills next HC. But Tomlin will be unemployed for about 5 seconds before landing another HC job unless he wants to take a year off.

Bills are currently 4.5 point favorites going in to this game. That seems....kind of high.

I look at both rosters and do not see much of a difference right now.

I believe the line opened at 6 or 5.5 so it seems the money is coming in on the Bengals if it's at 4.5

4.5 is the line going into the Patriots game from what I saw.

The Bills definitely should not be favored that high. If at all

I thought you were talking about the Bengals game not the Pats game. The Bills shouldn't be favored by that much in NE and maybe shouldn't be favored at all.

It is a loooong season, interested to see what the Bills have planned to beat the Pats now it is crunch time. Should be pretty familiar with Mc Daniel's offense.

I  do agree on the first part.

Second part not so sure that Tomlin isn't considered damaged goods at this point.  Seems teams all want the new shiny OC innovators and Tomlin (or McD) doesn't fit that mold.  The one exception being the Raiders.

Only reason the Bills lost to NE the first time was because they came out flat and had 3 turnovers.

The Bills will win that game this time. Just don’t play sloppy and it’s an easy win.

The Bills haven't had a game yet this season where they didn't play sloppy for at least a half.

After last night, the Patriots can clinch the division, in their house, by beating Buffalo. They will be there with purpose.

In fact, I read today that the only way the Bills can win the division, is to win out and have the Pats lose to with Miami or the Jets.

The pathways are getting mighty narrow.

I'm still convinced we will beat them when it actually matters

These are professionals the bills wake up for stuff like this and they are battle tested

Josh Allen lives for this like he's not rolling over for anybody and he knows with a down AFC this is a good chance for him

Problem is they play hard.  We don't necessarily.   We try and play smart.  But also like ballerinas.   Smart ballerinas.   They have an extra week of prep.  Not good.  I get if we lose this one.  Hoping we see them in the playoffs.

Can we get through the Bengals first? Burrow smoked the Ravens, and we don’t play well against them. Every time we look

ahead, we lose to teams like the Dolphins or Falcons.

NE did a good job containing Cook in the first game. Cook had 15 carries for only 49 yards. That will have to change. You know they will focus on stopping Cook as priority number #1 for their defense. As for the passing game it is what it is. We don't have a great group at WR's despite having a great QB.

When you play a team twice in a season, it gives you a chance to figure out what the other team is doing.  The team that wins the first game is not normally going to make huge adjustments to what they did in the first game.  Why would they?  They won!   The team that lost the first game has more they can and must adjust simply  because they lost the earlier game.  If the two teams are in the same ball park as far as talent level is concerned, it does give something of an advantage to the team that lost the first time.  That certainly doesn't guarantee the team that lost the first time is going to win the second game.  There are a whole lot of other factors at play, but it is one reason a second game often plays out quite a bit differently from the first.

They're going to play run first and probably man in coverage.  Their top 3 CBs are better than our top 3 WRs: Carlton Davis, Christian Gonzalez, and Marcus Jones are very solid.

They're missing their best DT in Milton Williams though, so their pass rush will be less than it was in the first meeting, but their run defense is still strong.

Also missing for them is their LT, so maybe some opportunity there along with Stevenson's fumbling.

It's going to come down to turnovers again, whoever wins that battle will win the game.  I don't foresee a high scoring game, probably low 20's wins it.  Allen will have to do Allen things in this one.... running game shut down, receivers covered and slow D lineman chasing him, sounds like good conditions for big plays.  We're favored to win, but I'd say it's a 50/50 proposition.  What's also at stake; if we win they remain unproven, but if they win they're legit and there's no arguing it.

The only reason The Bills lost to the Pats is because the Pats scored more points. No excuse for losing a primetime home game with Diggs on the other side and letting him beat you.
