gonzo1105 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Please feel free to merge this with something else if applicable and this is purely speculative but I do wonder if Jordan Addison will be a target this offseason for the Bills. There were a lot of rumors that he was going to be the selection if he made it to the Bills pick the year they took Dalton Kincaid. There were also rumors that he was available to be traded for this past offseason season but not sure how serious that was. He would be in his 4th year of his rookie contract with the 5th year option so the Bills would have control for two years. He would be an instant upgrade to our WR corps and possibly be our # 1 WR. He looks like he has absolutely no chemistry with J.J. McCarthy who frankly has been terrible and they have already sunk 30+ a year with Jefferson. Have sunk decent money into Hockenson, and drafted Tai Felton in the 3rd round who is a very similar WR to Addison Might have to dip back into the Minnesota well for our future WR 1 again. Just a thought I had tonight 2 Quote

Just a thought I had tonight I'm hoping Beane is on the phone with 31 other teams searching for a trade. The only guy that's scheduled to be a FA is Pickens and the drum beat is already starting that they may franchise tag him in Dallas. Beane is going to have to get creative with the solution because help isn't coming the FA route. Addison is definitely someone they should call on. Quote
HappyDays Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It's a reasonable thought, however even though I like Addison I think he's capped out as a WR2. I'm looking for a true WR1. Of course I recognize that's easier said than done. With Miami probably making sweeping changes I'd circle back on Waddle and see if that's a viable option. Maybe check on Olave again if he and New Orleans can't come together on a deal. Or how about the wildest dreams ideas of AJ Brown or Justin Jefferson? Brown and Philly look headed for an inevitable separation. Minnesota might realize Jefferson is no help to them until they get a legit QB which a blockbuster deal could help them acquire. Some other name will be available that no one is talking about. Nobody thought Davante Adams or DK Metcalf would become trade candidates last year. There will be options. 1 1 Quote
QB Bills Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago He's a WR2, so if we do sign him, the McBeane salary curve states we have to pay him like a WR1. 1 Quote

He’d be on a rookie deal for a year and a cheap 5th year. He’d have 2 years to prove he’s worth the money. I expect there to be some trade options. I only brought him up because I know the Bills really liked him coming out of USC/Pitt and he’s still only 23 if you can believe that Quote

BillMafia716ix Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I’m skeptical of any WR in the FA market. Teams do what they can to keep good WR’s. Idk what the WR class looks like in the draft but whoever the top guy is. Beane needs to do whatever he can to get em. I know Keon Coleman is in the doghouse right now but i still think it’s too early to give up on him. You gotta spend the rest of the season to see what you have so you can figure out the best way to move forward. Hopefully this lil 2 game punishment will wake him up. Now that Gabe Davis is back. Maybe Coleman can start working more inside Edited 6 hours ago by BillMafia716ix Quote
Dan Darragh Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I heard that James Lofton is a free agent. He's probably better than any of the stiffs Beane would bring in. Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I feel like he’s Peerless Price to Eric Moulds, or Alvin Harper to Michael Irvin: a good WR2 won’t transition to a good WR1. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t kick the tires as a strong roster addition, but I’m not pushing all my cards in for his services. Quote
LEBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yep I’d do it. Addison is a good player who will help the team immediately. Worst case scenario he isn’t worth a big contract and you let him go in free agency where the FA market is expensive, so you would wind up getting a good comp pick in return. If he is great then you can sign him or tag and trade him for more than you paid. This is the kind of work (among other moves) Beane has to put in to the WR room to fix this mess. Quote
MiracleAtRich1393 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I do think he'd be a available if we're willing to overpay. Which, a desperate Beane will likely be willing, just to point to something that he did to address the elephant in the room. Then with Addison's size, he will most certainly suffer a catastrophic injury no less than 10 games into a massive contract and we'll be stuck with day 3 fliers, UDFAs, and mid free agents until Josh demands a trade. Just a thought I had tonight I think Addison has some untapped potential with JJ as the QB, but I’m not sure I see him as a high-end 1 in the NFL. Although, you could have made that argument for Diggs too and he came to Buffalo and exploded on the scene into the top 5. I’m not against it, but I think he’s lower on my list than someone with some elite traits, like a Waddle. Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 19 minutes ago Posted 19 minutes ago I am more interested in Kevin O’Connell. Maybe he gets the axe for staying with McCarthy over Arnold. he would be a great head coach and play caller here. Quote
