It might be a revelation for the ages but maybe the defensive genius should devise a scheme and system that is both easy to learn and effective?

Because I watch in complete amazement several games each and every week of the season as other team's defense has rookies and second year players making an impact. And I wonder why aren't we drafting players like this? Bigger, smarter, faster, more instictive, and better football players making plays.

That's not true as their new core is McDuffie, Rice, Worthy & Karlaftis.

 

I think McDuffie, Worthy, Rice & Karlaftis are better than Shakir, Kincaid, Benford & Rousseau.

 

I will grant it's not a massive gap. But the point stands that the Elam and Coleman picks are seriously hurting their ceiling as a team. 

 

Replace Coleman with Worthy, and Elam with a Kyle Gordon, maybe we are in the super bowl 

 

The margin is that thin because Allen and Mahomes cancel each other out

 

I will be rooting for shaq because he is a very tough player. And we need it right now 

 

 

I agree that the Elam and Coleman picks hurt.........but I don't think you really understand the Chiefs drafting record.

 

Since 2020 the Chiefs have used first round picks on Clyde Edwards Helaire(bust) and Felix Anudike Uzomah(who has done very little in 3 seasons and is now on IR) and traded a #1 for a rental OT and lost him in FA(and replaced him with a dud).   

 

McDuffie was part of the return from Miami for Tyreek Hill..........a second first round pick that the Bills didn't have access to.

That’s right, Beane goes deep into the dumpster for Shaq Lawson. Always nice to add on an unemployed former Bill to fit under the cap. It’s beyond not constructing a roster, we can’t improve without using draft capitol. These additions are low percentage, low risk moves. Wake me  up when  Beane actually  

does something.

Isn't Josh Simmons pretty awesome? At least that's what I read.

 

I agree the bills & KC drafting record is pretty close.

 

They got McDuffie, we got Benford

They got Worthy, we got Kincaid 

 

Etc 

 

For whatever reason we seem to always be one step behind them tho. 

 

Our 24 season is kinda what KC went through in 22.

 

And then in 23 KC had massive wr/ passing game issues along with consistency 

 

But they are winning super bowls and getting to the Superbowl 

 

Buffalo is getting to the div rd and AFC championship 

 

It's very weird, ironic and frustrating 

 

 

Both franchises are also tied up in the mahomes trade, which helped give buffalo the draft capital to get Allen the next year. 

 

I know there was some other moves but you get my point
