harmonkillebrew Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Almost always loses. Texans were always going to be a tough game, given how their D matches up against our O. But you throw in a short week and the Bills having to travel to Houston, makes it damn near impossible. I saw this game on the schedule and thought it was a likely "L". But the backup QB made me hope otherwise. In the end, the Texans D did what it does at home and with three days of opponents prep - it harassed and dominated. Unfortunately, McD and Brady couldn't create a game strategy that controlled field position and kept Josh's exposure to a minimum against that nasty pass rush. Moving away from Cook after the 1st drive was a huge mistake. But I give the team as a whole a pass. Playing on the road on TNF right after the big game against Tampa was a big ask. Quote
MikePJ76 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Demeco Ryan’s had never won a game on Thursday night. until now with a backup qb. Another quality night for the head coaches defense. 1 Quote

That's on par with our oline last night that allowed the Texans DL to pass right on by. Edited 4 hours ago by BuffaloBillyG Quote
zow2 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago All that being said, the Bills had the ball and were in good position to walk off the game. They held Houston to 3 points and 60 yards for the second half. It was our game to be had. Quote
BillytheKid Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The home teams on Thursday night football win 57.9% of the time so the road team wins plenty of the time. That wasn’t the issue last night. It was Houston’s defense and the Bills turning over the ball. That was Allen’s first ever loss in a Thursday night game. He is 8-1 now. All Bills losses have had 2 or more turnovers. Only way this team is going to do anything in the playoffs is if they quit turning the ball over. 2 Quote
17islongenough Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Does anyone the injury percentage on a Thursday night? Seems every play someone getting injured. Even a ref got hurt. Should be 3 Thursdays that have football. Week 1, week of Thanksgiving and the week after with teams that played on Thanksgiving. Quote

This season, home teams are 9-3 on Thursday Night Football. The three away teams that won: Seattle beat Arizona by 3 49ers beat the Rams by 3 Ravens beat the Dolphins by 22. Thursday is quirky, too. Remember earlier this year watching the Burrow-less Bengals beat the Steelers. Or the Giants pasting the Eagles by 17. Quote

Whether it's fact or myth, for years my pick ATS on the Thursdays night game in a weekly pool keeps that thought in mind. Quote

Billsfanatic8989 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Last night could be excused if they were an elite team. Texans have an elite defense. It was on the road. The loss is just a continuation of a team that is falling apart. Edited 2 hours ago by Billsfanatic8989 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think I heard a stat that Josh was 8-0 on Thursdays before this one .. must have all been at home .,, the stat I’m hearing today is Allen is 0-4 in Houston Quote

I like this suggestion. I actually enjoy having Thursday night football and I do like the PrimeVision alternate broadcast that allows us to see all the routes and DB’s. I wish that was available for more broadcasts. Quote
