There is no one noteworthy left to promote from within. They aren't bringing Daboll back no matter how much you want it because there is too much animosity there. It's better at this point to just do it at the end of the season. Besides, now there will be no excuse as to why they didn't look outside, like saying "oh he did a really job the last few weeks of the season lets give him a chance at a full season" type crap. I wouldn't mind seeing Ronald Curry. Super divisive figure down here in Virginia, total rock star athlete. Let's go. Quote

If this crap continues with Brady, we can expect him to be replaced this offseason. The guy reminds me of Greg Roman now, and as good as he is with the run game, he is equally bad with the pass game. Is it that he keeps utilizing the same plays/play calls as teams seem to know exactly what to expect play by play? In particular, that WR screen to Shakir that never works. 2 hours ago, Scott7975 said: There is no point firing him at this point. Who is taking his place? QB Coach Ronald Curry has not. It's hard for me to believe that Kromer or Boras could do a worse job than Brady. 1 1 Quote

I almost think that Joe Brady is throwing these games away for some reason. Like he was offered a HCing job somewhere (NY Giants??)and he simply doesn't care to do his job properly in Buffalo. It's tough to believe he is this lame after what he did last season. This offense has faced more difficult defenses and situations than the Falcons and the Dolphins. That four-man rush that the Texans threw at Buffalo wasn't all that great, as he used to keep extra blockers in to pick that up. What happened to "max protect" with the extra linemen or the quick out passes to negate the pass rush. Josh Allen was sacked 8 times by Houston...he was sacked 14 times all of 2024. I'm starting to hate this guy! If anything, McD should just demote him to run game coordinator and promote one of the men you mentioned to pass game coordinator. Or ask Brian Daboll to step in as pass game coordinator. It would really look curious for the NY Giants to hire the guy after he was demoted in Buffalo. Then again, you have games like the 4th quarter of the Ravens game, the Chiefs game, and the Bucs game. I don't get what's going on behind the scenes. 1 Quote

Brady is outmatched seemingly every week despite have the NFL's most prolific scoring quarterback of all time. How many more coordinators have to get fired before McDermott? Quote

When you have a GM who is below the HC in the organizational hierarchy, it takes an owner making a major move. Our owner is older and is preoccupied (understandably) with his wife's illness/disability. I don't think he has the mental bandwidth to deal with hiring a GM and a HC. So we're stuck until he turns the team over to one of his kids. On and on we go. In the end, this team that we are all emotionally tied up with is the plaything of a rich guy. Quote

You need to evolve and change as more and more film on your tendencies are discovered, Brady didn't do that. They're too safe with it, there's no variation to the plays that they run out of the same packages (over and over again). How many times have you heard an announcer call the Bills predictable? Practically every game this season? I don't know if it's Brady's unwillingness to change things up or McDermott demanding a certain style of play. Whatever it is it's an abject failure of a strategy. Buffalo Ballin Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Not sure if any NFL team is interested in Joe Brady besides Raiders and Cleveland Browns. They can have him. Quote
SCBills Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago Hearing the All-22 breakdowns and how we ran less protection (including 3 drives on injured Spencer Brown) than we normally do, while using mesh constantly (which requires the QB to hold the ball) is insane. If you were an OC and you wanted to get your QB hurt, you’d do what Brady did against an elite pass rush. Quote
