I do remember reading he was highly recruited but looking at his highlights and it's extremely similar to Stallworth. I know it's a lofty comparison but yesterday was different. Idk I'm probably wrong but I think there's definitely something there. His confidence is obvious. He's got that long lanky stride like Stallworth to get deep, but he's quick enough in short areas to create all kinds of problems for dbs. I'm excited Go bills! Give me Shavers and Davis any day over Keon. Just don't try tell me Shakir reminds you of Lynn Swann!😂 Quote
Fan in Chicago Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) The coaches must have seen something in Shavers over the past 2.5 years to hang on to him and then roster him this season. If he has worked hard to get to this point, major props to him. And he couldn't have timed his breakout game any better. We are desperate for WR help and if by effort or luck Shavers turns out to be a solid role player, I will feel much more positive about the playoffs. As for Gabe Davis, it looks like the coaches used him in a specific role and didn't ask him to be the deep threat. Which is perfect. The issues in the past stemmed from him being asked to run routes deep and be situationally aware, which imo he struggles to do. If he can be that guy who keeps getting us first downs in the short to intermediate zone, it will be a win for us. Edited 2 hours ago by Fan in Chicago Quote
PayDaBill$ Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Shavers is ok especially if can fill the M Hollins role I’d be happy with that but we still need a legit WR1, and I’m ok with Davis, he works with Josh but for the most part the WR needs to be reworked. Edited 1 hour ago by PayDaBill$ Quote
ColoradoBills Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Shavers has stepped up and done what he has been asked to do, so far. He deserves a deeper look as the season progresses. Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think Davis gave us something yesterday too. I really want him on the 53. In big spots it was very obvious that Josh trusts him. Might be nice to see an old friend out there after all this time. 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I love the divergent views on Shavers. There was that one poster on here in preseason who called Shavers a total “loser.” Now someone else thinks he could be a HOFer!!! I love this place! 3 1 Quote

Lots of teams need WR's and more teams would like to F the Bills over. Now that he's proven he's healthy, someone may try and poach him. Only way to block that is to sign him ourselves. Gabe can block it too though. Fairly confident he would. Next year is a different story, but knowing this team, and seeing the WR predicament we are in. Hes in great shape to see playing time and meaningful snaps. Hes not going to find a better place than where hes currently at to rehab his image and show what hes got. Have to imagine Bills have msde it clear to him, and they feel confident hed refuse getting poached! Quote
Max Fischer Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago Do you mean Hall of Famer John Stallworth? Or is there another one? Quote
CirclnWagons Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Happy for anyone who can stay on as long as he has and finally earn a spot where he appears to be flourishing but feel good stories don’t count in the W column in the NFL. We still need long term solutions at WR Quote
