He hasn't neglected the WR position.  Just hasn't chosen the right guys.  Last season he signed Samuel for decent $ and used his 1st pick on Coleman, and this season signed Palmer for decent $.  That's not neglect, if anything just bad judgement-big difference.

The did not use there 1st round pick to get Coleman, he was selected in the 2nd!  They traded the 1st to improve 2 other picks and then traded again to improve another.  The improvement of the 3 picks was pretty big, moving up 60, 38 and 26 spots.  So to say they used a #1 on him is not really accurate.

Free agency at the WR position may be a bunch of JAGS, but trades are always a possibility as we saw from last offseason.  AJ Brown could be a trade candidate this offseason and there could be others, but there are not a lot of great WR1s in the league in general or, more importantly, that will be available. Unfortunately, we absolutely need a WR1 and arguably another starting outside receiver.  I view Palmer as a good WR3, similar to how he was used with the Chargers.

That's neglect. No serious person could see Samuel, Coleman and Palmer as solutions

The contracts $ & the high draft position says otherwise.

They used their 1st pick of that draft to draft Coleman.  I never called him a 1st rounder.

Which is why I say they will need to move up a bit

Here's what I need to see. I need them to identify a guy and go get him. None of the stuff they did a couple years ago. That's where they likely had a group of WRs they liked and would take any of them. So they traded down twice and took Coleman. Basically, they settled for whatever was leftover and we see how that ended up.

Beane needs to identify his Vontae Mack and get him no matter what.

You see it as settling i see it they identified a need for an outside WR and felt that Coleman fit that picture and felt could get him by trading down in doing so.

No they used their 1st round pick to gain assets.

He's a slot receiver, always will be

You mean, like Ladd McConkey?

Hey, I’m just here to be entertained. :)

The 1st player they drafted was Coleman.  You really have a reading comprehension problem.

Then those people are incompetent, and that list includes Brandon Beane

Gave you the eye roll response only because side eye wasn't available

So, "there's a high chance that," translated to normal language, means "I think this should happen."

Got it.

It's certainly a possibility, I guess. IMO Shakir and Palmer and Coleman will still be here, at a minimum. But it's certainly within the range of possibility that you're right.

Coleman is done.

He certainly hasn't made wise choices in signing & drafting WRs.

I knew it was trouble when I saw Coleman working out with Ceedee Lamb in the offseason the last two years. We all know Lamb has the worst body language in the world when he’s not getting the ball! Keon is clearly disinterested in how he’s being used. He’s going about things the wrong way, but it’s our system. We saw how they used Diggs and Cooper last year. Brady either doesn’t know how to gameplan effectively for mostly double covered receivers, or they prefer to keep mid to below mid receivers that can’t come at Josh angrily like Diggs. I think it’s both… And folks think crazy receivers like Pickens and AJ Brown would want to play in this offense? I guess you believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny as well!🤣🤣🤣

Part of me wonders if Beane refused to trade the 2026 first because he plans to swing for a rookie WR?

Patriots wasted 12 of Brady's 18 years...

Yeah?

I wonder what happened in those OTHER SIX YEARS! 🙄

“What are we gonna trade Keon for? A sack of potatos?”

Training wheels and duct tape!
