Sojourner Posted November 11 Posted November 11 Without a doubt. Similar to Memorial Day it’s an appreciation, respect and thank you to all you who, themselves or loved ones, have served and protected this great country through their service in the Armed Forces. May the spirit of this day remind and inspire us to live in gratitude and never forget any brave man or woman who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom. Hopefully everyone enjoys honoring this day with your loved ones who are still here after their service for this great country! God bless you all and the United States of America! 4 2 Quote

I was very blessed to get 6 months radio repair training, then shipped off to Germany. The combat veterans did the hard work. And often suffered for it. Many blessings to them. 3 Quote

Celebrities are called heroes when courageously disclosing personal information about their sexual orientation, drug abuse, or whatever. Political commentators are called heroes for expressing uncomfortable "truths." Athletes are called heroes for playing through injuries. I'm not demeaning of that. But, to me, people who risk their lives in the service of something greater than themselves are the real heroes. Bob Kalsu was one of them. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/memorial-day-memories-of-bob-kalsu 2 1 2 Quote
Buffalo Boy Posted November 11 Posted November 11 I would just add, it takes a minute to send a text, email or make a FB post. That small gesture can make a big difference for some Vets who may be battling some demons many of us don’t have to. Peace to all 3 2 1 Quote
