Roster Moves Being Made (Could Be Nothing)

Likely to add practice squad DT for Jones. Likely another PS for whoever else got hurt that may be out.

Logue  is out of callups, so he’ll have to signed to the 53.

With these moves, based on my spreadsheet, the Bills now have 49 on the active roster.  So we have room for 4 players.  Hoecht and Ogunjobi, Hairston are likely adds.  Who's the 4th.  I suspect Ciarlo will be re-added to the PS

 

I'll have to recheck my spreadsheet formula.  The Bills app says they have 50 on the active roster.

You must have forgotten someone or are misreading Jalen Kimber's release from the Practice Squad as a release from the 53 because we don't have 4 roster spots. We had 2 with Hamlin and Sanders going to IR and now 3 on the 53 with Ciarlo being released. And we now have 1 spot open on the Practice Squad.

 

We haven't opened Hairston's practice window yet and we have 21 days after we do before we have to put him on the roster. And we're likely to give him at least two weeks of practice before we stick him on the field.

 

Obviously, two of those spots are for Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi. The third I'd *expect* to be Zion Logue for depth at 1T temporarily with Jones down.

This is for Hoecht and Ogunjobi and a temporary call up from the PS for injuries who will be a placeholder for Hairston until he's ready and people get healthy.

 

An Olave or Shaheed trade would involve moving on from one of our WR's as part of the deal or as a release to make room. We aren't going to be carrying 7 WR's.

Because they have 2 guys coming back from suspension they need to activate in Hoecht and Ogunjobi and McD says there is a good chance they open the window on Hairston this week, although they don't need to add him to the active roster until the 3 weeks is up. Then they either have to activate him or he remains on IR for the rest of the year and they can't use him at all.

Samuel and Moore alone aren't getting us Olave. I'd doubt anyone would take Samuel given the cost remaining on his deal being not worth what you're getting (which is why we're kind of stuck with him).

 

We could package Moore with Draft capital. But the Draft capital would be the meat and potatoes of the deal to get it done. Moore isn't getting you much of anything and Samuel would get you nothing. You'd essentially have to pay them more to take his contract off your hands.

Shaheed would bump Coddrington as he would be the returner as well, Olave probably Moore maybe Shavers.

Yep.  And I found a formula online to count cells of a certain color.  So I have the 53 color coded to Yellow background color.  I use that formula to keep track of the 53 on the active roster.  So I'm suspecting a formula error, where I may have been missing a cell leading me to count 49 vs 50 active.

seeing that The Bills are going to beane and mcdermott's football mecca, Charlotte, next week maybe beane will move mountains this week to add talent.  

 

Jefferson could be a bill this week.
