Then it was the last two. Both times he fled the pocket early, rolled right, STILL held onto it, double juked a DL, got himself painted into a corner, and then chucked it to no one. I know on 2nd down, Cook was free out of the backfield for at least 5 yards. Trying to do too much and score instead of getting 1st downs. 4 Quote

You're vastly underestimating how quickly an NFL CB can get depth, especially Christian Gonzalez. He's the high/low conflict defender, the problem is the low option doesn't show up until a few seconds after the ball is snapped so he is able to declare himself high and Allen has to move on. Bad play design that Allen miraculously solves on his own, as usual, except the referee didn't throw the obvious flag. Respectfully disagree. If Allen puts that ball to the outside and in front of Samuel then Gonazalez would have to go through Samuel to get to the ball. There was for sure a window for Allen to hit Samuel, and with Allens arm strength he might have hit Samuel with out him ever getting touched. Shakir still was interfered with, maybe the most egregious PI of the night, so terrible non call by Refs that should have seen the drive continue. So I don't think there was anything wrong with throwing to Shakir - but there was a clear missed opportunity, and easier opportunity to Samuel from the pocket that gets us close to a TD or a TD. I would bet good money Josh wants that one back. Quote

Allen "alerted" the play and made some type of change I think miscommunication. The play was alerted and changed I just watched Josh in the post game and he said "Bad Snap Exchange" when asked about the play with knox. Allen was clearly ticked off in the postgame pc. On the last play of the game after we didn't get the PI, you could see one of the pats lineman was taunting josh and he said shut up you effing B. Cant wait till we play them again. 1 1 Quote

He was missing open receivers. He decides to scramble too much and was tackled after a short gain or sacked because of it. This was a bad game by Allen. How do you know that the fumble was on Allen? The stats assign it to him but unless your name is Brady you have no idea who fumbled that ball. That any one watching last nights game would claim that Allen played poorly is astonishing to me. It would be no different then claiming Allen played great. He played a good game - nothing more, nothing less. The loss was not because of bad QB play. Quote

That's how I see it too. many times last night we had guys open - if not wide open, and Josh missed them. Didn't pull the trigger. Their D played very good and Josh played exactly like he does vs a good Defense. Which is mediocre hero ball. Just wait till we play KC, Philly and NE again. 1 1 Quote

Like he's trying to prove to his ex-gf how happy he is now. Frustrating that neither Brady nor McD can get to him and calm him down. 1 1 1 Quote

Hopefully we have some more healthy guys on Defense next time and play a clean game with no penalties. Allen will remember those guys trash talking him after that last drive, that is how he has always been. He looked super pissed in the postgame pc. Quote

We aren't who we think we are. there are some good D's in the AFC: Denver. Kc. Indy. Steelers. Pats. Gonna be tough man. get used to it.... 1 2 2 Quote

You might be surprised at what Allen says in that scenario. BTW, Allen will always say he should play better but the real issue was whether or not Allen played good enough to win the game. And IMO he did. Other, far more serious issues, cost the Bills the game last night. Nitpicking Allen over this play or that is a fools errand. The problems limiting the Bills have nothing to do with Allen. 1 Quote

It’s easy to throw out blanket statements like this, but let’s break down these plays where she Always so easy to say with hindsight. Do you know how QB’s make decisions on read options? Hint; It’s not by seeing the future and knowing which option will work better. They are looking at the DE to see which way he crashes. Go towards the RB = QB keeps it. If he goes toward the QB = He gives to the RB. Thats how it is taught. On this play, the New England DE did an incredibly good job of staying neutral. He didn’t crash either way. Look at this image of when Allen is deciding: Because the DE stays neutral, Allen has a choice. 1) Hand it off and hope Ty beats him to the edge. 2) Trust the best player in the NFL (himself) to get the yardage. He trusted himself, which he should. He didn’t have a window into the future telling him which option would work better. He did what he was taught - read the DE. And on this play, the DE played it perfectly. I don't have access to the ALL-22 film and I'm not going to go back and re-watch the entire game again just to give you examples. I know what I saw from watching with my own eyes. Collinsworth mentioned on 3 or 4 occasions that Allen seemed to be bailing from clean pockets, and Joe Marino who does have access to all-22 made mention of it several times on his podcast this morning. It's okay to admit Allen didn't play up to his standards. I would expect him to say the same thing if asked. 1 1 Quote

One poor pass does not negate that. I am here all the time. All the time. I usually avoid your stuff because your claims are always off, but this one was overly egregious. No one other than Kincaid played well last night, Josh included. Numbers don’t always tell the complete story. 2 1 1 Quote
