WAIT. HOLD ON. If the refs were conspiring against the Jags why did they call that late PI in the end zone????

WHOAAAA WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE. THEY CALLED A PENALTY ON KC DURING THE KICK RETURN ESSENTIALLY ENDING THE GAME!?!?!?!

IS THERE INTERNAL COLLUSION AGAINST THE REFS THAT ARE COLLUDING??????

I mean… our opener was kind of cool too.

But considering all the times we’ve stayed up late to see the Chiefs ***** defeat from the jaws of victory only to have our hopes cruelly dashed … this felt so good.

All it was missing was Reid throwing a tablet at the end like Belichick used to do.

Our opener actually didn't really start until the 4th quarter, where the team decided to "turn it on"..........the MNF game last night was back and forth for 4 quarters, a 99-yard pick 6, Lawerence playing out of his mind, etc.

By contrast this is "great defense" according to the booth

I regret switching over from the Elicast when that horsetoothed Chiefs fan dingbat was introduced as their guest. That would have been a tasty reaction.

It was very tasty.

Finally a coach that take advantage of Trevor’s athleticism. Hes a big strong guy and ran a 4.6. Always perplexed me why Urban Meyer or Peterson never took advantage of this !

My guesses are because Urban Meyer was too busy fondling a college girl and because Peterson won an SB then forgot how to coach football.

But why not include Nabers? He’s on their roster. You can mix & match those bottom teams honestly. They all equally suck. I don’t think the Bills are at the bottom. Cook brings their value up tremendously. Kincaid is also developing into a true top 10 TE. WRs are lacking incredibly, but Shakir and Coleman are nice pieces for any offense.

Nabers is out for the season with a torn ACL homie.

Even with Cook, the Bills are probably bottom-10 for skill position players due to the pass catchers. Shakir and Kincaid are the only players that are starter quality on most teams. Elijah Moore and Samuel are roster bubble, and will likely be inactive for games this year. Coleman is kind of on a similar tier based on performance, but he’s getting a longer leash due to “potential”. Palmer is a low-tier WR2, but probably a WR3 on most teams. There is a reason he was basically FA scraps.

But we do have a top-5 OL which is more important anyway (don’t want to be the Bengals).

Basically, the Bills have a roster full of 2s and 3s. No clear cut WR1. That’s the problem with drafting in the bottom of the 1st every year. The Chiefs are facing the same issue.

Jacksonville lucked out in a way by having a disappointing season because they were able to nab Hunter. I won’t lie. I watched that game with seething jealousy. Having the biggest playmaker and most athletic player in the 2025 draft on your roster is such a massive advantage. The Bills will never have a shot at that kind of talent unless they sacrifice picks to move up. Look how much it cost just to go from #9 to #4 to get Sammy Watkins. And if that player doesn’t work out it is an automatic firing.

Now the chiefs get to play the lions. The chiefs have no run game. I’d expect them to make a trade for a running back

I think their defense is where they've been getting exposed, specifically the secondary. The two young safeties Cook and Hicks have really struggled. With Chris Jones not as elite as he once was the pass rush isn't as scary either so a combination of middling pass rush and out of sync secondary is leading to too many big plays downfield.

And then on offense once they get past Andy Reid's scripted plays they don't have legit pass catchers that can create consistent production so the offense has been a bit all over the place. Yeah they have speed and they know how to use it but that's not enough in the NFL. Also Mahomes to my eyes still just isn't performing as well as we know he can on schedule. When he gets off script he's still elite but that pick six for example was an on schedule play where he just didn't see the undercutting LB, and he's missed a bunch of wide open deep throws that Andy Reid has schemed up for him. Off script is nice but eventually you have to just drop back and throw downfield to win games and they haven't been able to do that consistently enough.
