Bills are 4-0, and in the drivers seat for 1st seed and Super Bowl.

Bills beat teams they were supposed to win.

We played down to opponents.

Third down lack of stops is even a worse problem than last year.

Defense cannot stop the run.

Does Beane still think we are all set at WR?

Zero impact yet from 1st round pick, 2nd round selection meh, third round selection cannot get a jersey.  Thankfully we got Walker and Hawes later in the draft.  Did Beane screw up the first 3 rounds again?

What trade does Beane make?  Bills D needs help.  RB and WR depth needs upgrades.

Cook has been amazing.  Davis has regressed, and it was stupid for him to lose weight.  Backup RB is a major need now.

Josh is getting better all of the time.  We are incredibly blessed to have him as our QB.

Babich has been unimpressive.  Does McD step in and try and salvage our D?

Joe Brady’s play calling is atrocious and predictable.  You have Josh and Cooks, and still cannot come up with a clever 4th and short play.  I’m not impressed with Joes Vanilla playbook and unimaginable play calls.

Are we the worst tackling team in the NFL?  We just set a record for allowing the most rushing yards after contact, against the lowly Saints.

Stay Healthy Buffalo.  Hoecht cannot get here soon enough.

Go Bills!

Yes, the Packers gave up 40 points to the Cowboys... after losing to the Browns last week.

Then again as you know GB, a coordinator change is not unprecedented.... Dorsey was fired in his 2nd season as OC... but after 10 games and in the midst of a 2-4 stretch.

Still, it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

Some of the lack of cohesion and fundamental shortcomings are hard to understand.

Also not unprecedented... and it's interesting to read @SectionC3's comments upthread.

I could see McDermott running onto the field in full uniform and giving Rapp, the hook.

You know, I've slowly come to understand and appreciate opinions like yours... that nothing has any meaning until the playoffs begin.

The question for you and others who take your position is:

Are you going to actually enjoy the regular season or not?

Because it gets very tiresome reading over and over that all of these victories are meaningless.

I've never said the victories are meaningless. But at this point I'd take a 9-8 regular season and a miracle run to the Super Bowl than I would be 14-3 and lose to the Chiefs again in the playoffs. It's time to cash in on having the best player in franchise history IMO.

The first four games have been a testament to the greatness of Josh, Cook the O-line and a few defenders (Bernard, Benford, Bosa, and Oliver). The offense has been good enough to compete for the SB. Averaging over 30 and scoring on cue when teams have narrowed margins are indicative of great production. The weaknesses on defense are glaring and must be resolved if we want to overcome our loser resume. The run defense is not effective and without Oliver and Milano it’s not going to improve. The front four also has generated little pressure on the QB but Sean and Babich have brought extra rushers ala Spags approach that have worked at times. We need continued improvement from Walker, Sanders and the arrival of Ogenjobi. Our secondary gives up too many completions and YAC. Relying on our 1st round rookie cb and the other rookies with a game but injury diminished Tre White is not realistic. Bishop showed flashes last game but he’s out of position too much. So it seems obvious we need an acquisition before the deadline either an established corner or safety and the addition of the PED  lineman to shore up the defense. The outlook is optimistic to get the overall home field throughout the playoffs but to beat KC and the NFC champion improvement of our defense will determine whether we end the drought.

The defense is just bad. Bad fundamentals, bad situationally, inconsistent pass rush. The one thing is HAS done well is splash plays. But that's a tough way to live week to week. It simply has to be better. I'd be willing to consider a coordinator change but I doubt it happens.

If they struggle into the Bye week, I could potentially see a coordinator change.  If it doesn't happen at the bye, I dont think it happens for the rest of the season

Did Beane screw up the first 3 rounds again?

Please stop with this narrative.  It’s just not true.

2024 draft - 2 2nd rd picks are Coleman and Bishop.  Both are starters and both are significantly improved over last year. Carter is likely a bust but he’s a 3rd rd pick.

2023 draft - Kincaid in the 1st - is a starter and an excellent player, Torrence in the 2nd is a future All-pro guard (maybe as early as this year) and Williams in the 3rd maybe a starter next season and is a solid backup now.

2022 draft - Elam in the 1st is a bust, but Cook in the 2nd is elite, as is Bernard in the 3rd

2021 draft - Rousseau in the 1st is a solid starter, Basham in the 2nd is a bust, but Brown in the 3rd is a Pro Bowl caliber OT.

So lets recap 12 selections, 8 starters, 5 high end to elite players (Kincaid, Torrence, Bernard, Cook and Brown) with 2 more still developing (Bishop and Coleman) and one backup who could be a future starter in Williams.  How is this even close to screwing up the 3 round picks again every year.

I don’t know what Hairston, Sanders and Jackson will become, but considering how wrong this board has been on Shakir, Cook, Bishop, Kincaid, Coleman and others after their 1st season (or two), maybe we need to be a little more patient. Personally I believe in Hairston and Jackson.

Offense is all systems go.  Defense is still finding its rotation.  Ed Oliver was the best defender week 1 he hasn’t played since.  Milano was all over the field first half vs the Jets.  Hasn’t played since.  Their eventual returns with the returns of Ogunjobi and Hoecht is an upgrade to 1/3 of the defense.  Mcdermott is back to shutting down the pass.  Minus the qb runs the run defense has improved as the season has continued.  Offense is ahead of schedule and defense is on schedule.  To be expected imo with the change over on defense and the continuity on offense.

Aren't these things situational.  I mean if there is an opportunity or requirement to throw the football 30-35 times, I am sure the Bills will throw the ball.  Right now they have a winning formula that the team has brought in and executing it.  Why is that an issue.

And also, we were not successful with the long ball yesterday...they tried it...and simply were no where near making those plays (including the INT).

Both deep throws did not look like they were planned plays.  It was Josh rolling out to his right under pressure and heaving the ball down the sideline.  Coleman certainly wasn’t open on the pick.  And the ball to Samuel was tailing to the right, and he collided w the DB as the ball was approaching.  It was close to PI on the DB.

The entire football field should be used by the offense.  Not just the first 10-15 yards past the line of scrimmage.  It makes us more difficult to defend.

As bad as our defense looks at times.  When we play the better teams, our offense will be under more pressure to make plays.  So some vertical passing game will be needed.
