Delete_Delete_Delete Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) It’s crazy how the the Bills more often than not beat the Ravens but apparently never actually beat the Ravens… Edited September 8 by Delete_Delete_Delete 1 1 Quote

Not a lot of effort is given to crediting the Bills for their comeback. Does it seem so to you? The Bills took it away from them just like they di the last time they played ... Plain and simple !! Dunkirk Donski Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Guys, we’re still in preseason form here. Stop overthinking and just react in your posts. Sometimes when your overthinking you tend to create dumb posts and drag us all down. We need more cohesion in this forum. Quote

I would rather play anyone than them. They are just a BAD matchup for us 1 hour ago, TheWei44 said: It's also interesting to me that we missed a 2-pt conversion near the end of the game to tie it (like what happened with the Ravens). Thankfully we had some time left to work with (and 3 timeouts). In retrospect, it was fortunate, we did not make the 2 point conversion. Would have give the Ravens the ball with a chance to win, and if not, in OT anything can happen, and we do not do well in OT 1 Quote
Rocky Landing Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I feel like it's been pretty balanced, honestly (outside of Baltimore, anyway). Plenty of pundits giving the Bills, and Josh Allen especially, high praise. As it should be. But, it's undeniable that the Ratbirds monumentally crapped the bed, and for that, they should, and have been roundly criticized. As it should be. Quote

But I can't blame them for punting on 4th and 3 (particularly given Lamar had just gotten clobbered by Big Ed). Quote
gonzo1105 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 The answer is both. The Ravens opened the door when they shouldn’t have and the Bills executed down the stretch to win it Quote

That seems to be how they're at this point. Major credit to the Bills for being in position to capitalize on that if and when it occurred. Somebody upthread wrote that he thought the Bills were in the Ravens' heads. I don't think that it's the Bills in the Ravens' heads; it's the Ravens in their own heads, including Harbaugh's. In critical games against good teams, especially in the playoffs, the Ravens seem to be their own worst enemy. Lamar fumbles and/or throws interceptions. Reliable veteran receivers drop what should be easy catches. Henry, who hardly ever fumbles, fumbles. Harbaugh, who's actually a great coach, makes questionable play calls that give their opponents second or even third chances. Edited September 8 by SoTier 1 Quote

Until the Ravens coaching decided to focus on killing the clock, get too conservative, and changed their defense which is exactly what allowed Josh to hit Palmer and Coleman on those 2 plays. The reality is that, but for the all important position, for all four quarters the Ravens had (and have) a markedly superior roster on both sides of the ball. What allowed Josh to hit Palmer and Coleman is his ability to routinely make throws (esp Palmer's) that few quarterbacks can make. Josh Allen is the best quarterback and probably the best football player on the planet. That's the takeaway. 1 Quote
