Actually above normal: he had success in Hollywood and in broadcasting. But as time wore on, he turned into a immoral raging impulsive lunatic. Another thing that people have forgotten about OJ was that he was the first sports superstar who went out of his way to acknowledge his teammates when the spotlight was on him. When he broke the NFL single season rushing record and the network requested a post game interview, OJ insisted that they allow him to bring out all of his offensive teammates for the interview and he cited each of them by name... "my main man Reggie McKenzie... JD "Crackback" Hill... etc. This had never been done before and it was an extraordinary act that spoke of good character. 35 minutes ago, Ralonzo said: In Reggie Smith's case it's because he had a bat Is that a bat or are you glad to see me? 1 1 Quote

He's honest, self-aware, thoughtful, and composed. Anybody else come to mind both currently or in the past? Ed is not a popular figure among the OP locals. Or at least the neighbors through whose yards he continues to ride his ATV. Ironically I was just thinking about this a few days ago. Of the people who have been paid here, he's probably the only bonehead. EDIT: Diggs also got paid. He might not have been as much of a bonehead before he got the big money. But they quickly recognized the error of that contract and moved on. Edited July 27 by SectionC3 Quote

Another Fan Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Stevie Johnson was always pretty likable- he could just come of as like really really goofy at times. I remember him saying something like Man how good I'd be if I actually picked up the playbook in the offseason. Today he seems a very solid guy in general and community based. Quote

PonyBoy Posted July 27 Posted July 27 C'mon!! it's Travis Henry! When's the last time you heard about him getting a woman pregnant? He clearly figured out how to use contraception. That's impressive. 4 1 1 Quote

I know a player that played with him way back then when he was a Bill. He’s told me several stories of OJ’s extreme temper. Quote
skibum Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Looking at the Bills' draft history, there have not been a lot of knuckleheads taken in general, and the few that were didn't tend to grow out of it. It's hard to find a good example. I guess Aaron Maybin would be one - he was super cocky with the whole "Mayhem" thing, but didn't have the chops to sustain an NFL career. Since then he has done a lot of very unique and meaningful work in the Baltimore community and in the art world. 1 Quote
