US Egg Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM Posted Sunday at 02:27 PM Hundreds of thousands of NFL fans ripped off by brokers yearly, but the NFL wants to make an example of some of their lunkheads for making a small profit on a 100 or so SB tickets. This is another example of why I can’t take pro sport head honchos seriously. 1 2 Quote

What ever happened to the "parity" mantra after the salary cap was introduced? Quote

Kirby Jackson Posted Monday at 03:24 PM Posted Monday at 03:24 PM (edited) I have a couple of close friends that played in the NFL for a while. Lol, they sold their Super Bowl tickets every year if they weren’t in the game. They weren’t exactly the moral compass of the league though. Both of those idiots got popped for popping adderall. 😂😂 Edited Tuesday at 08:46 AM by Kirby Jackson Quote

One was in 2009 and the other was in 2014. Ironically, both claimed that they were using it to stay awake for long trips. I’m pretty confident that at least one was to stay at the casino. Quote

TableDestoyer69 Posted Monday at 06:35 PM Posted Monday at 06:35 PM Why is the NFL allotting super bowl tickets to players who didn't make the game? Are they trying to rub salt in the wounds? Any player with any sense of competitiveness/pride isn't going to want to attend. I'd rather Bills players sell their tickets, rather than attend and be seen enjoying the game. Very confused. 1 Quote

It's like they don't remember the Korey Stringer incident at all I lived in Florida for a couple decades, often worked outdoors and played a LOT of afternoon tennis. The sun/shade is a critical factor in the heat. I would find the shade of a tree trunk or a light post to stand in because it makes that much difference. The sun is a huge part of the problem, and we are 1,000% agreed that they need to create a safe environment. I don’t want a tragic Korey Stringer type of incident before they finally do the right thing out of fear instead of common sense. The shade might be even more important than any stray AC misters, and there should be ZERO reason why a team cannot protect their employees (not just players, mind you) from needlessly dangerous working conditions. . Every NFL team gets an allotment of a few hundred. It was 650ish last year. The participating teams get 4k or 5k. It used to be 2x or 3x that a few years back. When the Bills used to go back in the day it was WAY more. Long story short, if the Bills go back, people shouldn’t plan on winning their tickets through the season ticket holder lottery like the old days. You’ll have to buy them on the secondary market or have a connection within the league or team. The average price on the secondary market has been about $7500 over the last few years. If the Bills go, especially against a team with a real fan base, like Philly, we should plan on that being higher. If it is a team without fans, like the Rams, the prices will be lower. 1 Quote

Very confused. im not sure if you are familiar but its a pretty big marketing and PR week for the league, and they like to incentivize players to show up to the various events. likewise, most players have no real expectation of being in this years Super Bowl and are likely much less emotional about that than you think. 21 hours ago, Kirby Jackson said: I have a couple of close friends that played in the NFL for a while. So, even though you won't be able to get tickets for the next two Super Bowls, you can go to a party instead. If that's the only consequence, I probably would have done the same until I got caught. Sounds like our fair and free stock market. Except itd be 100x, and fines of up to .25% Quote

It’s the same for all player tickets outside of the pair for games that they play in (at least that’s how it’s always been). If you see a player with 20 people at a game, they either bought a bunch or other players gave them theirs. Quote
