RIP Rochester, NY jazz legend Chuck Mangione. His golden era was the 1970's and his music was extensively played outside of traditional jazz venues.

Family marched Drum and Bugle corps in late 70’s and early 80’s. His music was a staple of many Corps. Such great memories of the power of his music.

I met him once years 25-30 years ago, very nice guy.

One of those “in a league of their own” type of musician. May not seem like much of a compliment, but he was the standard for subtle smooth background dining music for decades, maybe still is.
