So, Trump has venous insufficiency. Not a big deal on its own, but it can indicate major health problems under the surface including heart disease.
 

Naturally, I hope he is not experiencing any significant problems beyond this.

— something the previous administration refused to do, even when it became glaringly obvious that Joe Biden was in failing health. 

 

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described Trump's condition in today's press briefing based on a report from his medical team. 

 

"On another note, I know that many in the media have been speculating about bruising on the president's hands and also swelling in the president's legs," she began.

 

"So in the effort of transparency, the president wanted me to share a note from his physician with all of you today."

 

 

CVI affects 1 in 20 adults and is most common in individuals over the age of 50. Treatment for the common condition includes lifestyle changes—such as elevating the legs, exercising, and losing weight—and compression therapy. If conservative treatments are not successful, doctors may recommend medication, sclerotherapy, or surgery.

Venous  insufficiency is a chronic condition. Scleotherapy is an option but most often treatment is begun with compression hose. Tight stockings to the knee or higher. Varicose veins are usually present. Maybe that’s why you never see him in shorts. There are many alternative causes. Congestive heart failure being the most serious. Covid can cause myocarditis which can cause CHF. Just saying…

yeah, venous insufficiency doesn't usually cause that.  Old folks have friable veins all over.  might be that but I surely don't trust the official statements as gospel.  Lymphedema, usually from cancer, causes swelling and that could cause easy bruising.  Who knows?  with his luck, it's probably the benign causes.
