Pretty sure Door Dash also gives you a free subscription to HBO Max I think

Can you say more about this?  I have never Door Dashed.

So I just realized I won’t be in town when hard knocks airs. If i subscribe to HBO will I be able to watch a rewind of it? I’m new to all of this streaming stuff

Yes, you can stream the full episode as soon as it airs. You can go back and watch any episode from any season, they do not remove episodes.

It kind of works like a DVR in that you can just watch the episode when you want start and stop as you wish!

Or check your cable tv subscription as I get HBO Max free with Spectrum.

I've got a few questions here if you don't mind?

Which Spectrum "package" do you have and what channel are you getting HBO Max on? Also... what city is your Spectrum account associated with?

I've got Spectrum from the Rochester area but I don't see any HBO channels at all listed in my guide. If I type in "HBO" in the search box and choose a channel in the list that comes up all I see is a prompt to upgrade on each of them.

So... I'm guessing that you're getting it "free" because it's included in the particular package you're subscribed to and paying for.

Get the Max app.  Login with provider password.

Can watch on your phone, tablet, computer.

You have to download the HBO app on your TV or phone.  When signing up, there is a spot where you can select your cable provider. Click spectrum. It will have you log in to your spectrum account and then you get access

Also, you can do the same with Disney Plus and peacock. They are included when you have any spectrum package

I have Spectrum TV select. I'm in Buffalo and HBO Max is a streaming channel not a traditional channel on TV on a box per se. If you call them they can tell you if you qualify and how to set it up.

OK... thanks for the get-back... appreciate it!

I guess I'm screwed since I don't own a Smart TV and watching stuff like that on a phone seems pretty silly to me when I have a 55 inch Plasma TV sitting there.

Could always get an hdmi adapter for your phone and cast it to your tv that way

Thanks! I'll have the Boss give them a call. I have no clue what our account login would be... I'm old and smart enough to leave that stuff for the more intelligent part of the marriage :)

You need to get yourself a basic Amazon Firestick or similar device.

$20sh?

How can a 55 inch plasma not be a smart tv?

I guess you'd have to ask Samsung that question but smart tvs were just becoming a thing when we bought this one... and I DO have a Firestick. So how does a Firestick get me HBO?

I think there’s a HULU bundle out there that includes MAX

They offer a student discount where you can get it for $5 a month. Probably need a university email of some sort but worth looking into if you want to legally see it as cheaply as possible.

Spectrum lets me get Hulu with ads for $1 a month.
