I tried this one last year, but Milano's Bicep injury in training camp quickly ended the suspense in that one, so I thought I would try it again this year.

I have also included a games missed due to injury question as well.

I'm really not sure what to expect from Milano at this point, and even Bernard had a lackluster season last year as well, but if these guys can both stay healthy, could they re-capture the promise they showed playing together in the first five games of the season two years ago before Milano's season ending leg injury??

I think there is a case to be made for the over, such as the increased strength of the Defensive line and size of the Defensive tackles freeing them up to make more plays, but recent injury history is hard to overlook....

My Prediction:

My gut tells me to take the under on production and the over on games missed due to injury, but I would really love to see what these two guys could do if they stayed healthy for an entire season together.

I am going to split the difference, and say they both will stay healthy this year, but not quite reach the number of 11 to take the over in production....under on production, but also under on games missed due to injury.

What do you think??

Milano is becoming brittle the last two seasons, am sure it's why we got Shaq Thompson as insurance. Bernard missed his rookie year but since been relatively healthy but two guys playing 25/34 hard to do when once has played 9/34. Also turnovers are so hard to predict sure some players have the gift to cause them but hard to predict and sacks even moreso especially with blitzing LBs. With the improvements on the Dline our LBs might actually stay clean and beable to maintain rush lanes and stop the run again but we'll see.

Bernard was hurt as a rookie?  I know he had a lot of injuries in college but didn’t realize he got hurt while being a backup for Tremaine.

EDIT: banged up bills has no injury history for him in 2022.

Let's get some more votes on this one.

I really hope we get to see a fully healthy Milano/Bernard combo for an entire season......I think that would go a long way in making this D a formidable one.

Over and over

We haven’t had a postseason since 2019 where the whole defense was healthy. In each season ending loss we had a defensive starter out. We need our team intact. We actually have a great defense when they’re all out there.

I understand it's the week before game 1 and we all Have hope for the season. Thats awesome for real. If I'm being  honest and looking at the last couple of years, I just wouldn't ever want to place any money on these two having the sack numbers or combined game numbers. I'm sure going for it though.

Over/under on whether they play 10 games as a tandem?

The second question is if Milano/Bernard will miss more or less than 10 combined games due to injury....they don't have to miss the same game.

Got it. I hope like hell we get a full season out of both of these guys. That would be amazing. Unfortunately, I’ve been burned on that promise too many times before. I’m reluctantly going to say under/over.

You're just in a bad mood (and some of us know why).

Because of a midget goalkeeper who sets a 3 man wall then stands four yards the other side? Too right I am.

But yes. Under and under.

Yeah, I always think back to the first few games 2 years ago before Milano's  leg injury in London......those two guys were causing havoc all over the field in those games.

I think it would be a real treat to see these two stay healthy and play a full season together..... here's to hoping that happens🤞

What team in the playoffs has all 11 starters on defense healthy? Don't be ridiculous
