Manning is a 2x SB MVP which i think is gonna help him considerably.  5 road wins during those 2 SB winning seasons.

It will be interesting to see if Eli gets in or not. The Super Bowl wins as well as the playoff wins overall will help. He was certainly a good QB for the Giants, but I don't know if he is a slam dunk for the Hall like his brother. He probably gets in, but I don't think it will be in his first year of eligibility. IMHO

Absolutely, especially considering who those SBs were against.

Part of Eli’s argument to get in is Jim Kelly. A guy who was never really the best or stacked a ton of awards but did an incredible achievement multiple times. Jim with the 4 straight and Eli with TWO improbable Superbowls against the dynasty of his time, including against an 18-0 team.

and I think that’s right. They should both get in for that.

You are thinking correct because that’s already happened in February.

One of them must have popped onto this message board…

I do agree with many points, but also think he’s closer to the Hall of Fame than not. He wouldn’t be first ballot if he retired tomorrow, but there’d still be a chance he’d get in later. When his career is all said and done, I think he’s easily first ballot. Hopefully the passing numbers start to shine even brighter.

If the Bills win a Super Bowl that will guarantee Allen is in 100%. IMHO

Especially if he’s SB MVP.

I think it's a moot point, as if he plays a long career and isn't hampered by a serious injury, he'll at least make a Super Bowl. But I disagree.

If he plays for a long time and doesn't fall off a cliff early, I think he's already Hall of Fame bound. His accolades, numbers, records, and performances in games that are considered perhaps the greatest of all time alone will get him in.

It's silly to say, "well Warren Moon was the last person to get in without a Super Bowl appearance so Josh can't do it without one". His career (again, without a major injury derailing things) will easily surpass that of Warren Moon. Dan Marino appeared in a single Super Bowl, but had he not, he'd have still gotten in. And Josh is a modern day Dan Marino level QB.

I also feel pretty safe in saying Philip Rivers will make the Pro Football Hall of Fame without a Super Bowl appearance. Maybe not 1st Ballot bc of that, but he will make it in the coming years and reset the clock on that supposed qualification.

We're obviously putting the cart before the horse here and I don't like talking about such things bc I'm slightly superstitious. But, in my opinion, Josh Allen is a Future HOF'er right now with or without a Super Bowl appearance so long as he doesn't fall apart before his mid 30's.

I think Rivers will get in.  In order for Josh to do it this way (no SB), he would to produce at or above his current level for 10 more seasons.
