B-Man Posted yesterday at 01:43 PM Author Posted yesterday at 01:43 PM Can't travel to the US Army's 250th anniversary parade? Here's how to watch from home Paris Barraza The U.S. Army is celebrating its 250th birthday with daylong festivities and a major military parade this weekend in Washington, D.C., where attendees will see imposing tanks and aircraft, an army parachute demonstration and more. “This parade salutes our soldiers’ remarkable strength and unbeatable spirit,” the President said. Not only is this event a commemoration of the U.S. Army’s “legacy” and “enduring strength,” it serves to “inspire a new generation to embrace the spirit of service, resilience, and leadership that defines the United States,” according to a news release. The parade will feature 50 aircraft, 150 vehicles, 6,000 soldiers and dozens of animals, with the procession exploring the U.S. Army’s history, “beginning with the Revolutionary War and concluding with the future Army,” according to a list of FAQs from the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army will livestream all of the events for the 250th anniversary, including the parade, on all social media platforms https://www.desertsun.com/story/news/nation/california/2025/06/12/trump-us-army-grand-military-parade-streaming-and-start-time/84168683007/ 1
Big Blitz Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) I forgot this thread - I’ll take mine down. I thought there was and I couldn’t find This must have been bumped down 100 threads due to the Billfluencer bump fests. Unlike Bill we don’t need 50 threads discussing the same thing lol. And our own troops. Edited 17 hours ago by Big Blitz 1

I would say the 250th anniversary of the army is certainly worthy of a parade, but that obvious fact seems to be lost on posters like you. 1

So THAT'S what Mr. Hoax posted? 😂 Not to mention the 1991 parade was to celebrate victory in A war while this one is to celebrate the 250th birthday of the army while also celebrating the brave men and women who've fought in ALL wars. But the real context and subtlety certainly isn't lost on me here. The 1991 parade? Trump not POTUS. 2025 parade? Trump POTUS. There's your subtle and nuanced difference to tools like C section.
Joe Ferguson forever Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago in Eisenhower’s April 16, 1953 speech"The Chance for Peace." "The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of concrete pavement. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people."
SCBills Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago What’s the real story here. Was this planned before the election? If so, would Harris have scrapped it or toned it down? Has Trump ordered it to be bigger? Whats the real deal? Because if this was always planned, the attacks from the left about this being Trump’s parade are so utterly gross. I havent read up on this a ton, so genuinely asking for anyone who actually has.

While the Army has always had multiple anniversary celebrations planned for years, I don't believe a DC parade was included. That was President Trump's idea. So naturally. the TDS latched on to it as a Trump Birthday parade, because making all things anti-Trump is what they do. 2 1

I don’t hate it either. But I get the criticism on this one. 1 1

Perhaps Trump's most hilarious attribute is his unending power to get leftists to get behind the opposite of anything he is for. Plan a fantastic celebration of the Army and the brave men and women who have served over 250 years? The left: We must hate patriotism! Trump owns you all 24/7. Edited 5 hours ago by BillsFanNC
B-Man Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago 🎶 First to fight for the right, And to build the Nation’s might, And The Army Goes Rolling Along. Proud of all we have done, Fighting till the battle’s won, And the Army Goes Rolling Along. Then it’s hi! hi! hey! The Army’s on its way. Count off the cadence loud and strong; For where’er we go, You will always know That The Army Goes Rolling Along. 🎶 1
Andy1 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It’s not the parade by itself. It is in the context of Trump sending Guard troops into LA, against the States wishes, and masked unidentified men snatching people off the street. Regardless, I think we will survive this one and Trump will get his wet dream. 1
stevestojan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Only tangentially related, an I the only one who loathes parades in general? Parades of all sorts block streets, if you’re odd enough to actually attend one, you’re forced to stand shoulder to shoulder with the general public with varying levels of personal hygiene, and there’s never a good place or enough places to take a leak. All for the chance to see a bunch of people stroll by for 90 seconds while you hope to get a chance to stare at them, assuming no one is blocking your view. If I were the type to believe in something like Hell, the Macys Thanksgiving day parade in perpetuity would be up there with my best possible description. Now get off my lawn so I can yell at a cloud in the sky in peace.
