It is fun. Go to Reggie's in the south loop to pregame and take their buses RT to and from the stadium. You can take the el to Reggie' s from your hotel. Green line McCormack stop. They have a buffet there as well. Tons of Bills fans there last preseason game in chicago . The owner of Delilahs which is a Bills bar in Lincoln Park is friends with the Reggies team. 1 Quote

MJS, As much as I like Ben Johnson and he has been a favorite for two years to get the HC job, he hasn’t done anything at all as a HC. So yes, an emerging HC. Pretty simple. As in the previous post, I think he really may be the answer to Chicago. I’ve never dislike the team and hope they can have success, just like I’m happy Detroit finally turned it around after so many losses. Quote

Emerging to me would indicate that he is already becoming prominent. That he has shown something. He is a rookie, so a complete unknown. It sounds like you like him a lot and are confident he will be good. We'll see. Edited May 23 by MJS Quote

I live in the Chicago area & have been to many games. Soldier Field is nothing special after they added all the modernization stuff. It had old-school charm before, now it just looks like an alien spacecraft landed on top of the old stadium. It's much more congested to get in/out of than the Ralph, and there isn't much parking that doesn't require a shuttle. Everything inside is more expensive than Buffalo, parking for preseason will probably be $100. It's worth checking out, but I find the ease & convenience of getting in/out of Bills games a breath of fresh air compared to the hassles of Soldier Field. I was offered tickets for the game from a season ticket holder at face value, $200. 4 tickets plus parking & food would be around $1000 for a preseason game. Unless somebody offers for free, I'll probably pass. I was at the Bills/Bears game there in '23 and it was at least 30% Bills fans. I didn't receive a single heckle from anybody, which I did not expect. I've seen some crazy abuse of opposing fans over the years. I once saw a guy wearing a Santa suit at an Xmas eve game get the living crap beat out of him by 4-5 guys for yelling "Go Packers"... and they weren't even playing the Packers that day. I am gonna try to attend one of the Bills/Bears joint practices. Never had a reason to attend a Bears practice before, but that'd be cool. 2 Quote

Like you, I had face value offers for a preseason game, and while I appreciated the gesture, I kindly declined😅 Quote

Bud, I think there’s potential, but as we both have said, he’s done nothing yet as a HC. We’ll see. Im open minded. I felt the same way about McD 8+ years ago. I thought potential, but we hadn’t seen anything yet. Quote

He turned down an opportunity with Washington, because he specifically wanted to coach Caleb Williams. Then Daniels came into Detroit last year and roasted the Lions in the divisional, while Caleb played so poorly everyone was fired. Johnson better be right, because he already passed on a franchise player for his first HC gig Quote
