Dems keep showing that their behavior is fueled by ignorance. It is a sad state when a person put in charge of the FBI can claim he did not know what the number 86 meant and we have to believe him because he is a Democrat.

@Charles__Marino  , a former Secret Service agent and national security expert, tells me James Comey is "gonna have a very, very, very long night."

From his experience in the USSS, Marino predicts the Washington field offices for the USSS and the FBI have already been activated and either already have or are planning to pay Comey a visit tonight to interview him about the threatening social media post against Trump.

More from Marino: "Look, here's the deal, they're sending agents out, and they're gonna talk to him, and he's not gonna have a choice. He's gonna have to talk to them, because this stuff about, well, I, you know, I found this on the beach. I didn't know what it meant. None of that makes sense."

"These threat investigations are immediate," he said. "There's no delay in these types of investigations, they are going to see to speak to him as soon as possible."

Marino also said Comey can be prosecuted for the threatening social media post under 18 USC 871, Threats Against Presidents.

"Comey is going to have some splainin'  to do," he added. "In this current political climate...This case has to be presented to a United States Attorney for acceptance of the case or declination."

I think it’s lame to make a fuss over this. The only thing I find more lame is that a grown man would have found this clever enough to blast out on social media. The guy is a worm through and through. Something a person like Redhawk would do. Embarrassing.

I’m of two minds here:

 

On the one hand, we all know Comey was just trying to be edgy. He wasn’t seriously threatening anyone.

 

On the other hand, it seems unlikely that a regular person would be granted such understanding,

and it is important not to treat people differently.

Of course Comey wasn't making a veiled threat that he was personally going to Mar a lago guns ablazin. To believe so is ludicrous.

 

However...

 

There have been two assassination attempts on Trump in the past year.

 

To pretend those attempts were in no way influenced by the constant Trump is Hitler drum beating is naive at best.

 

This falls in the same category. He has a large social media presence and influence.
