Something’s gotta be off with the cap calculation or there are still some more moves still coming because we can’t field a full team right now cap wise according to the cap numbers last updated in this thread.  We wouldn’t even be able to sign any rookies, let alone fill out the rest of the roster.

Yeah site have us just1 mill under the cap

I gotta' say that stressing about what the Bills exact cap number is at this moment is the definition of OCD.

They've made most of the moves.    Getting well past cap compliant was never going to be THAT difficult.

We have to wait for all the details, but it looks like Beane is just under the cap with everything that happened up to now.

Beane IMO is not going to restructure other player until he needs the money.  All the future guys under $1M don't really count against

the Top 51 and the rookies will total around $3M tops.  Nothing to worry about there.

I wasn't expecting any big FA signings but you never know with Beane but he will get Tre Whites $10M June 1st.  So, we got a long wait until

we see who is exactly coming to camp.  I recommend patience!  LOL.

Yeah, something ain't right. Hoping that it is just because the new signings weren't calculated right into the cap numbers,  because we would probably have to shed another 5 million at minimum to last us until the June 1st when we get the tre white money.

Given AJ’s contract, I figure the Bills are about 5.66 over the cap before factoring in Jones, Lewis, Dawkins and Knox.

If Lewis is about 1.5 and Jones about 6, that puts us at 13.16 over.  Most of that will probably be erased by the Dawkins extension and Knox pay cut, but it looks like there is still some work to do by tomorrow.  My guess is an extension for Johnson and maybe a restructure for Oliver or Milano. I can also see Gilliam getting cut.

Right now SPOTRAC has Bills at -706K in space

Not accounted for yet are D Jones and Cam Lewis

No Numbers for Knox Cut and Dawkins extension.

Allens restructure is accounted for.  So does Knox and Dawkins wipe out Jones and Lewis (likely)

Math seems weird.  I thought they had us at 4 million over before accounting for AJ.  Now they account for AJ and his 3.94 cap hit and the overage goes down by 3 million?  Weird.  I could have read it wrong.  Maybe it was 4 million under.

It’s closer to about 5 million over after estimating Jones and Lewis.  They are around 500k-1million under right right

That's for all the players.  Top 51 is +$883k.

That doesn’t work.  If you were 4 million over add another 4 million and then removes 16.7, you should then be 8.7 to the good not just 800k. We are missing something else they did.

While I agree here, I think a lot of folks are interested in order to see them create enough space to add an "exciting" FA or two.  However, your point still stands, because they will always make a cap move if needed for any new future signings.

We can’t be done in FA though whether it’s now or later as we still have too many holes to fill that we aren’t filling with 11 draft picks, which is probably less than 11 as I expect Beane to makes some moves around the draft.

So something has to be off on the latest numbers in the thread or something more coming because we don’t seem to have enough cap room to get through both FA and the draft right now, even with Tre’s $10M coming after June 1st.

Or maybe I’m missing something.  I’m just trying to figure out where the extra cap space is coming from since they seemed to have left some cap space on the table with Allens restructure.

Like I said, Beane will restructure the players he has left that are eligible when he needs it.  He can agree to a contract with a FA player

and do the restructure at the same time.  He doesn't need to free the money up first.  He did the same thing last season.

I dont see any smaller signings right now at WR.  It doesnt make sense.  You would lose one of your compensatory for a player that you dont think would contribute and you are going to draft over likely multiple times in a Once in a Generation WR draft.
