Answer very clearly There’s a difference between supporting a government and supporting an oppressed population that the government (supposedly) represents. Populations who have experienced oppression often sympathize with other oppressed populations even if there might be serious disagreements between them. I’m not sure if you could possibly be more wrong if you tried. Oppressed people often have sympathy for oppressed people. Also supporting the right for Palestinian self-determination =\= supporting Hamas. I doubt Hamas would even want a free Palestine as it would negate any reason for their existence.
