Buymt yet you have Aaron Wilson from Houston saying there is and the Bills are in the lead. One could have a thought that Wilson may know more based on the Hopkins camp and this dude only knows what he gets from kc sources....hard to buy absolutes from either. I'd lean more on the this guy knows the kc piece only...

Just the feeling I get is that Arizona is asking too much. They want to do the move as a full salary dump and still want to get more than Houston got for Cooks along with it.

I know everyone's all "damn the torpedos, do whatever it takes". But if this is true than no GM in the league is cool with taking on that contract or restructuring the deal to include 3 years of paying millions for a guy that won't be on the team to do it.

It’s a lot of risk to take on the full cap hit of a soon to be 31 year old WR who has finished the past two seasons hurt AND give up decent assets to do so. I assume AZ at least wants a 3rd round pick and a mid round pick in 2024 and to not eat any salary.

The Bills are smart to not give up too much for D Hop unless AZ is willing to eat some of the cap charge to make it more palatable.

If AZ wants a lot and won’t eat any salary than the Bills are better off looking elsewhere or using pick 27 to supplement the WR corps.

Sure lol...honestly how can anyone make that statement. Of course there is interest in Hopkins. Kind of sounds like sour grapes because the almighty Chiefs can't get the lowly cardinals to trade dhop for nothing.

At the time I was thinking, "Hopkins makes that catch." And I was right.

Or he gets the PI call, it makes me mad that some stupid rookie gets away with that kinda contact while the ball is in the air. But whatever.

In the video I posted from Dan Fetes a couple pages back, one thing that sticks out to me is that the people he talked to said that we're interested in DHop "For the Right Price"

I hope I'm wrong. But that wording to me screams that the price right now doesn't fit. And Beane is the type of guy to set a price tag and stick to it.

If that's the case, we have another Zach Ertz situation on our hands where AZ comes around to our price at some point, or it's not happening.

Can't speak for them, but I get the feeling he's talking in absolutes because he wants to make the flight to Arizona mean more than the obvious of what it truly is.

Well, can't know for sure what it's truly about, but it does seem like some posters are hell bent determined it's about Hopkins lol.

here's some links to soren's past reporting:

no watergate level of reporting scrolling through his feed, but not seeing any unfounded rumors or speculation either.

Pick 67 or 91, go for the Superbowl.

I’d trust Aaron Wilson and Pacman before that guy

I can't understand accepting the things you want to hear from one person being true and then discounting things you don't want to hear from someone else who's just as reputable as false.

Aaron Wilson is a verified beat reporter for the Texans. Soren Petro is a verified beat reporter for the Chiefs. If you accept one as definitively true, you shouldn't discount the other as definitively false.

I understand wanting this to happen. But fans need to look at things analytically instead of just emotionally.
