Very good profit but then you look for a new house of which prices have sometimes doubled or even close to tripled as Tibs would say YAY USA ! so you put a offer on a house that is now for a little bit more than what you sold is $500k you put your down payment of say $100k on the house because with the extra money you made you bought some things you've wanted in true American dream fashion . So you now get the new house that is a little bit bigger than what you had and over the life of the loan added in Home owners ins. at $400k your mortgage payment has went from $1000 a month to $2200 a month and all in life is wonderful then you add in higher inflation from gov't over spending, higher gas prices for what ever reason you decide to put on it . Higher groceries due again to gov't over spending ships locked in the harbor & China putting a higher fee on goods because the prior president tried to level the economic playing field which is now overturned because the new Pres. doesn't have a back bone and we pay more it's nothing but a win win for the consumer . The Republicans became so unpopular they had to resort to nominating a sleazy con artist with a populist message. W and the gulf war was probably the last time conservatism really had any influence on culture… that is working hard is honorable, honor is something that matters, family values are important, a grounded sense of self importance and that the constitution was protection from authoritarians. Meanwhile, the democrats took what used to somewhat resemble a party that stood for righteous social issues and legitimately helping poor and those in need and became the party of wealthy elites sewing cultural discord and demise along with deliberately severing upward mobility, intent on building toward a socialist authoritarian government. The pandemic really helped accelerate the process too.
