In other words, you don't know.

Oh, he knows.

They all know that it’s graphic, sexual content marketed to children that’s the main target of this.

They just think that 2nd graders should see depictions of blowjobs in their school libraries.

There's definitely a happy medium between your inaccurate description and Michelangelo's David.

"He will be an authoritarian psycho to advance unpopular policies and make people miserable and angry" is a hell of a campaign slogan.

What are you afraid of?  Maybe President DeSantis signs 15 Presidential proclamations on the first day?

Quote

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that President Biden has signed 15 executive actions, part of a flurry of steps he plans to take in the coming days to address his top policy priorities — and to roll back some of former President Donald Trump's initiatives.

That sounds like a perfect description of the Democrat party….

Except Dem policies are approved by a majority of the country. It’s the GOP standing in the way.

According g to whom ? Whose policies during Covid were more restrictive or “

authoritarian ? “ I’d venture that it wasn’t DeSantis.  Do you majority approve of expensive energy and high inflation? Of forcing girls to compete vs boys ? Majorities are not exactly immune from supporting bad ideas anyway. Just look at California as an example of that. Fortunately that fact is reflected in how we elect our President.

Just to pick one of your "points," 69% of Americans want us to become carbon neutral by 2050.

The vast majority of Americans don't even know what that means much less understand the cost.

I find that number highly questionable. Even if close to accurate, most answering in the affirmative would not be willing to make the lifestyle sacrifices it would take to achieve it. Sure, when phrased as a sunshine and rainbows idealistic question many would say yes. That’s the easy part. All that aside it’s probably not a realistic time frame to make it happen.

"69% of U.S. adults prioritize developing alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar, over expanding the production of oil, coal and natural gas."

"A 72% majority says the federal government should encourage the production of wind and solar power. About half (51%) say it should encourage the use of electric vehicles, while about a third say it should encourage the production of nuclear power (35%) and oil and gas drilling (33%). Fewer (20%) say the federal government should encourage coal mining, with the remainder saying that the government should either discourage coal mining or do neither of these."

This clear enough?

Encouraging wind and solar power is a far cry from trying to make sure we are "carbon neutral". I promote fully renewable energy but I also understand carbon neutral is not happening in my lifetime, most likely not within 100 years, I want to make sure there are no traffic deaths but the cost to make that happen is unreasonable.

I think everyone wants to transition away from fossil fuels.  The question is whether people are willing to go broke doing it and suffer through the inconveniences until we are ready to do it, which isn't even close to now.
