The Lincoln Project

LOL, this is why we love it when our local lemming keeps posting from the L.P.

Guess which Lincoln Project A*SCLOWN tried picking a fight with Republicans (and lost) THIS time

First it was alt-right.

Then it was far-right.

Then it was Trumpers

Then it was MAGA.

Now it's nihilist Republicans.

George Conway turning to RawStory to crap all over the Right is pretty pathetic and sad, even for him.

You know the lawn flamingos at RawStory were super excited to write that; obnoxious Lefties love nothing more than those on the Right (supposed Right with Conway) crapping all over their own party. It's sort of like some weird, warped, sad Christmas for them.

And the only reason people on the Right are voicing concerns about the military is because Democrats are softening it, focusing more on pronouns and genders than on protecting the country and our people. Hate is such a lazy word ... and that's why we're not surprised at all Conway said this.

Incidentally, he's trending for the first time in a long time so you know the Left loves this crap.

Can you imagine anyone in the world (I know there are several - obviously) that says aloud “get me George Conway. I want his thoughts on this”? Mind boggling.

The Stinkin' Project's false comparison continues.  If you don't want Trump, then you must settle for the not any better choice of "but there's no evidence" Joe Biden.  It's like picking between dying in the gas chamber or the electric chair.

I agree it’s a ***** position

I mean, at this point, we all know that the Lincoln project is not really a group of Republicans trying to write the wrongs of the earth. They are obviously Democrats now

At this point - you’re either for or against democracy.

The Lincoln Project uses Biden and decency in the same sentence and Twitter/X explodes with laughter

RickRobinson

According to this, Joe Biden is a bastion of decency. Joe Biden will bring decency and respect for democracy back to the White House. Most are skeptical that Joe Biden knows what any of those words mean.

It has often been said somewhat jokingly that The Lincoln Project should change its name to something that aligns more with its current beliefs. This editor usually suggests The Mao Project. One thing is assuredly so: Lincoln would probably ask it to stop using his name if he were alive to do so.

They want to break the United States so that they can pick up the pieces of it and mold it into what they want basically that’s it

Democracy is sometimes messy and if you want a political system of government where every single party member falls into line with the party leadership and the interests they serve where no discussion, debate, or objections are allowed on every vote on every issues regardless of the specific interests of the constituents they represent and their personal principles then that's not much of a democracy and maybe more akin to tribalism or top-down authoritarianism.

Why people think a democracy is where you have the right to elect an empty suit to put in a seat at the Capitol to automatically and unconsciously vote yes or no at some leader's desire is amazing.

your right. its just two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

Six more billionaires recently donated to the Lincoln Project, a Republican-led super-PAC doing its best to defeat Donald Trump in November.

The largest donor, supplying $1 million, was billionaire hedge fund manager Stephen Mandel Jr., founder of Lone Pine Capital, according to Federal Election Commission filings released Wednesday.

Other supporters include Hollywood billionaire David Geffen (who donated $100,000), Boston media magnate Amos Hostetter Jr. ($100,000) and Silicon Valley investors Michael Moritz ($50,000) and Chris Sacca ($10,000). Martha Karsh, who is married to private equity billionaire Bruce Karsh, gave $50,000.

This group of donors is following in the footsteps of Walmart heiress Christy Walton, who gave $20,000 to the Lincoln Project in January. Apparently pleased with her investment, she contributed another $10,000 in May. All of the donors except Walton have also contributed to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign or a super-PAC supporting the former vice president

Not to mention the pedo connection.

Does anyone not a DEM elite donor give a penny to that PAC?

Solid points, as always.  It’s leadership like Trump’s that uncovered the secret truth that airports were the key to winning the Revolutionary War.

Senate GOP warms to idea of Speaker Jordan
The Hill ^ | 10/17/23 | Alexander Bolton

Senate Republicans embarrassed by the prolonged stalemate in the House over electing a new Speaker are warming up to the idea of Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) taking the job.

Jordan has long been regarded in Washington as one of the most hard-line conservatives in Congress. He founded the House Freedom Caucus and played a leading role in challenging President Biden’s 2020 election victory.

But Senate Republicans who were pulling for former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to hang onto his job and then quietly rooted for House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) to wield the Speaker’s gavel are now willing to give Jordan the “benefit of the doubt.”

Senators say the leadership vacuum in the House is a major problem that needs to get solved as soon as possible, and they worry that if Jordan can’t marshal a majority vote on the House floor, the impasse could last for days if not weeks longer.

“We just need effective leadership. We can’t have this nonsense of a handful of people questioning a Speaker every time we have to deal with difficult subjects, and we have a lot to deal with,” Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C. said). “I hope that Jim’s up to the task.”

Tillis and other senators think that Jordan has “evolved” since his earlier days of tormenting GOP leaders and helping chase former Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) from power. Boehner once called members of the Freedom Caucus, which Jordan once led, a bunch of “legislative terrorists.”
