Chef Jim Posted July 20, 2020 Posted July 20, 2020 As I've mentioned in the Pandemic thread I was to go visit my mom in NY for her 95th. I called the NY Dept of Health to get clarification on visiting from CA. My trip was for 5 days but they clarified and said that even though I had a round trip ticket that has me leaving NY after 5 days I would still need to quarantine for 14. Can anyone explain to me why I would need to to quarantine for 14 days. You think they'd want my California cootie ass out of there as quickly as possible.

The ranking was based off of three factors: Likelihood of mask usage Average percent of people staying at home per day Number of coronavirus tests 1. Because of Andy's stupid decisions regarding the nursing homes, the death rate in NY was so high in the beginning that people were terrified into wearing a mask. 2. Andy's mismanagement of the NY economy have basically forced almost all jobs that can't be done at home out of the state. 3. Testing is up across the nation... 1

Y'all sound boring.

You're talking about the same NY braintrust that insists you have a higher rate of avoiding Covid if you order a drink at a bar WITH food than if you order a drink WITHOUT food. You are the coach who gets his ass kicked by 35 in the first quarter and then brags the other three quarters they "won" by 3. You are still the example of what not to do and how to be incompetent. 1

His dad was ok as governor, not great but ok, this douche is nothing like his dad. He just might end up being democratic nominee for president.

B-Man Posted July 21, 2020 Posted July 21, 2020 KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF: Andrew Cuomo’s Creepy COVID Victory Lap Needs To Have a Sock Shoved In It Now. “Cuomo so believed his own hype that he’s been doing an unseemly victory lap, acting as if he’s cured COVID. He held a press conference where he unveiled this strange papier mâché green mountain to explain New York’s COVID curve. Cuomo obviously thought it made him look clever, but he really looked like the dumb, lazy kid at a middle school science fair.”

I trust Cuomo on this. He knows best. Think how smart he is to be the first to recognize that you can't get Covid if you sit at a bar AND order food. He's a model of genius. 4

B-Man Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 New York is heading for a lot of trouble. Democratic Socialists expected to shake up New York state Assembly by Carl Campanile & Bernadette Hogan Original Article The socialists are coming—to the state Assembly. A half dozen insurgent candidates in Brooklyn and Queens—some backed by the Democratic Socialists of America—toppled veterans incumbents in Democratic primary races, including close allies of Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx). With Heastie’s backing, the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee poured more than $400,000 combined to prop up 46-year-veteran Joe Lentol, Felix Ortiz and Walter Mosley in Brooklyn and Aravella Simotas, Michael Den Dekker and Michael Miller in Queens. They all lost. Insurgent Zohran Mamdani, who defeated four-term incumbent Aravella Simotas in the 36 AD covering Astoria, said in a tweet: “Socialism won.” 2
