So if there's a bone to pick with the graphs is that the mayor was discussing ICUs, while SETAC data is total beds. But there's a high correlation between the two. The press runs from one scary story to another, without any follow up to what happened to the original scary story, especially when things turned out better than what they thought. It reminds me of a scene in Shrek where the crowds run from one Starbucks to another across the street. If the press did its job, there wouldn't be so much panic in the country. Case in point is NJ, which just rolled back some safety guidelines because on one day last week, the infections grew by 100 more than the rolling 3-day average.
