That's three drafts, and the hallmark of those three drafts is that the Bills consistently spent draft capital to move up in the draft order -- Jones, Dawkins, Allen, Edmunds, Ford. Trading up for a first round QB is one thing, but continually spending picks to trade up for other positions isn't a very smart use of draft resources, particularly when the prospects drafted don't appear to be anything special while other players at the same positions taken later have turned out as good or better than the players the Bills traded up to get. The most egregious example is trading up to take Zay Jones with JuJu Smith-Schuster available. Good post. And last year was the year to move up in first round. When Josh Allen ( the other one :-)) fell to 7 I was praying we could move up to grab him. Instead we stood pat and took Oliver. An edge rusher like Allen would have made this D lights out. And he can cover.

Everyone else has a WR1, so we need one too...apparently.

LABILLBACKER
They don't have the luxury with the fails on Foster & Zay. Smoke is a great wr2 and Beasley is a capable 3, but this team still lacks a true 1. CeeDee Lamb will be long gone and the Bills don't exactly have a great record drafting 2nd round wrs. I see Beane going both FA again and maybe drafting wr in late 2nd or 3rd. Josh is still at a disadvantage.
Sherlock Holmes
I would've taken Cooper Kupp when he was available...instead we got Zay.

Laughing Coffin
lots of options this year. If the right guy is sitting where we are drafting I'd take him 1st round. Otherwise we probably would be better off going OL or DL round 1. I'm all for taking 2 WRs in the top 4 rounds though

Jones had better combine numbers and college production - and was a senior. McD was at the senior bowl and spent a lot of time with those guys so i think he trusted his gut a bit more there. I think Kupp should be considered the miss there... he was at the senior bowl and we still went with zay. 5 hours ago, Laughing Coffin said: lots of options this year. Does he have some moves? Cool. I don't really care how fast his 40 and shuttle times are tbh.
