I'd rather have John Taylor, former Niners receiver.  That dude was underrated playing in Jerry Rice's shadow.

Very true! They were fun to watch!

But he may have lost a step.   ?

Would love to see a stud RB next year.  Once a strength on this team, but no longer.  A stud RB behind a stud OL, would take a lot of heat off Allen.  Next year with a OL additions, competent WRs, and a stud RB, plus Allen, is going to be fun next year.

Who could be a stud RB in round 3 - 5?

Here's a list of RB's.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/statistics/player/_/stat/rushing/sort/rushingYards/year/2018/group/80

Interesting RB at #11 - Nico Evans ( Sr. 5'9" 211 lbs)  played with Josh at Wyoming. Only carried 11 times in 2017 but has 1,325 yds and 6.5 per this year. Should be available in rounds 2-3.  Maybe he goes higher since most of the top 10 RB's in yds are Soph.

Miles Gaskin of Washington fits the process of McBeane's drafts. A 4 yr starter with over 1,200 yds each year. Very consistent on an inconsistent team over his 4 years.

Henderson at Memphis is a Jr and is having an outrageous season, similar to Taylors. He may be the first RB off the board.

Could mix in LJ Scott with his height and frame as the bowling ball back in goal line jumbo formations in the 3rd or 5th round if he’s still there.

Here we go again with OP

OP is looking at draft and mock draft reports along with seeing who would fit the offense.  Are you bringing anything new to that conversational topic?

Seems like the year for a RB in the 3d or 4th.

LJ Scott looks like a battering ram we could take in the 3rd or 5th provides he’s still there. Could see him fitting a jumbo goal line package or close yardage situation.  Ivory and Shady are not exactly spring chickens and we need to start looking at future running back.  LJ Scott (Michigan State) and Bryce Love (Stanford) would be welcome additions with getting Sam Mustipher (Notre Dame) into the groove as the center of the future on the o-line

LJ Scott is really slow and always hurt. I don’t think he will be drafted.
