The media response has been a major clue, without question. As has the fact that these packages were hand delivered in places with more cameras than people - yet we don't have a single image of a suspect or a suspect in the news. You could argue the media is trying to preserve the integrity of the investigation - but then you have to remember someone at CNN took one of the fake bombs out of its package and staged it for a photograph, contaminating the investigation before it could ever begin.
