So we beat NC state and get crushed by UVA In the ACC tourney in all likelihood.

is that enough to get into the tournament?

Two wins and I think they're in

One and we'll be playing that game again... Waiting for selection Sunday with anxiety

I do enjoy Jim’s hand being forced to play Edward’s and Braswell a lot more than he wants to.  It turns out they aren’t so bad.  Maybe extend the bench longer than 1 or 2 players once in a while Jim.

Robert and Jesse have been playing well.

But I wouldn't necessarily think boeheim lost it, they may well have not been ready in November... Practicing against SU quality guys day in and day out can improve you to get ready for game speed... Sometimes it takes time

Amazing how good this team looks when they get a guy or two hot from the field. Really opens everything else up.

also, how about that Marek dunk?!

UVA is going to be brutal, as always. I am not sure what the answer is. It is going to be a grind on offense; they just need to make sure the defense can clamp down.

Marek is going down as one of my favorite players in su history

Go back 3 years on this thread and some people were saying he wasn't worthy of playing at Syracuse

His versatility , passing and ball handling for a guy of his size makes him so valuable

he has got to be in my top-5. Just love his grit. Amazing to see him develop so well offensively. I can see him developing a decent 3 game when he plays overseas.

Absolutely. He can probably shoot it decent already.. he does have a nice shooting stroke for a big man

But he's so selfless that he knows it's not the best shot for the team

and when Syracuse spaces the floor and he has the ball at the top of the three-point line, he's amazing at getting to the hoop and finishing , drawing a foul, or dishing to the open guy

Agree, I think Onuaku was the last big we had that had good hands, maybe Christmas? EIther way the rest seem to have ping pong paddles for hands.

As for the Dolezaj stuff a couple posts above, I loved that dude since his Freshman year. He seemed to have the basketball IQ to make plays, just needed to clean up the fouls and improve his shot some.

Liked him even more after he took that Zion charge

what is up with Griffin sitting so much, granted Braswell earned the playing time, but for god's sake, Griffin instead of JGIII would have been a seemingly better line up

Griffin is so maddeningly inconsistent. The guy drives me insane.  Played like garbage on D and on the boards in his limited minutes today.  That horrible turnover at the end may have cemented his spot in the JB dog house if we make the tourney.

I love the way this team fought today.  I think we make it as a play-in team, and I think we deserve to.  Could definitely surprise some teams too.

Here’s to drinking heavily on selection Sunday, folks!! 🍻

He played like crap yesterday unfortunately and Braswell played very well. I don't think it has to be more complicated than that.
