I will say though that the defense while they did play pretty poor minus the LB corps go put in impossible positions thanks to the offense and turnovers. Consider: -The 51 yard punt return that immediately put the Ravens on our 20 yard line. 17-0 Ravens -Peterman INT that put the Ravens on the Bills 29. 20-0 Ravens -Special Teams blows an easy fumble recovery on the Punt and BAL goes up 26-0 -Bojorquez muffs the punt and the Ravens again have the ball in the Buffalo redzone. 33-0 -Peterman throws another INT and Carr takes it to the Bills 1 yard line. 40-0 Don't get me wrong a good defense limits these problems to FG's, but even if you don't include the failed fumble recovery the Ravens scored 27 pts due to turnovers and bad special teams that had them within our own 30 yard line. No defense has a shot in heck good or bad when that is what your dealing with as a defense. The defense if it had any shot needed some good field position to work with especially given it was a bad day as soon as it was 14-0. The defense may turn out to be OK long term, they have some talent, but I am nervous this is just a preview of many games where the defense is on the field a ton in bad field position with no opportunity to even try to stop the bleeding. I thought my team would be bad not an embarrassment. Good point. Not only was the team bad, it was downright embarrassing and painful. Those dudes should all be ashamed of themselves. Next up is the sorry group who pretend to be NFL wide receivers... Kelvin Benjamin is a scrub. Big and slow and can't catch a cold. Zay Jones is a total bust and waste of oxygen on the field. I don't even know who else we have bc they're so terrible it's not even worth knowing. The defense... Pfft. Our secondary was a straight dumpster fire. The line played on against the run that's about it. That DE Murphy we got from Washington ought to be in jail for stealing $$$ from the bills. That cripple had zero impact on the game. I'm going to stop because I'm ruining my Monday thinking about how horrible this team played yesterday. McDermott fix your damn team you bald headed prick. Yes, yesterday was horrendous, and a terrible way to start the season, but I don't believe what we saw yesterday is gonna be what we see all season. It'll be really interesting to see how the bills respond next week at home I just need to understand WHY these blowout games happen with such frequency going back to last year...we have had 3 30+ point losses and another 20+ point loss. Add in the Jets 38-24 loss which ended up way closer than the game actually was thanks to 2 garbage time TDs and we have gotten blown out in 5 of the 18 games McDermott has coached. That's unacceptable. Even the Browns who were beyond terrible last year only had 1 loss of 20+ points. How is it that nothing works in any of the 3 phases this often?? It'll be really interesting to see how the bills respond next week at home ...certainly agree.......add in the McD was a rook HC....but I think in his 2nd year, the expectation that he would have this team better prepared is reasonable.......Daboll had no answers nor did Frazier as we got gashed again.....OL/Castillo?...as advertised.......and good Lord just stop with this "we'll have to look at the tape"........hopefully that EVIDENCE was destroyed.....
