Helsinki Summit

Ah, the Traitor Caucus is still in full spin mode. Must have been an exhausting day. Good job, guys! Remember Hannity’s talking points:

- Deep state!

- FBI and IC are corrupt, out to get Trump!

- Democracies bad! Authoritarians good!

- Free press bad!

- USA bad!

- Russia good!

- Putin strong!

- McCain weak!

Propping up a traitor is a thankless job but we’re sure you won’t give up your dream of an authoritarian state!

Catch you later!

Exactly how is Trump selling this country out, Sparky?

I never ever said I supported Trump. I support a nuclear free environment. Do you?

For the sake of brevity, let's just focus on today. Trump essentially said he believed Putin over the his own nation's justice and intelligence departments....while standing next to Putin...and then went on to say it was a "great offer" to allow Russia to investigate their own meddling in our country.

Let's play a game. Imagine Hillary Clinton saying and doing what Trump says and does. How does that make you feel? Angry?

Don't join the idiot parade, Promo. The media is twisting this all out of proportion. There's a lot of issues with our IC that Trump has seen. There's a lot of things that the IC did not do so the Russian narrative could stay alive. I'm not saying that Russia didn't meddle in our affairs but that is par for the course. They've been meddling for years. There's good reason to doubt Russia and our IC.

Ah yes, the five stages of denial. 1) Fake news 2) They do it too 3) It's not like we haven't done stuff 4) Okay, some of it's true but there's blame on all sides 5) I didn't vote for Trump.

1) Yes, you are a retard if you can't see a US President sell his country out.

2) I had to come to PPP to see if there actually were people who still support this traitor. SMH.

Trump killing it again today. The children, just out of their overpriced mind-bending schools, had their playtime for 8 long, destructive years. Now it's the adults that turn it around. The more and more Trump is at it the more an more I realize just how much we have got used to being lied to and played by the professional political class. What a bunch of dupes we are to even agree to hand over tax money to these frauds.

There's two giant problems with this though, Keepthefaith:

1. Every single bit of forensic evidence relating to the hack was never verified by the FBI. The FBI never examined the hacked server themselves. They instead relied upon CrowdStrike's assessment of the hack and took their word as gold. And CrowdStrike's own work is contradicted by both WikiLeaks (who received the documents and know their source - but themselves are not impartial actors) and the forensic evidence attached to the emails themselves which anyone can verify on their own.

2. Vault 7 proves the CIA (and likely the rest of the IC) has several programs designed specifically to spoof that exact kind of evidence detailed in the indictment. Marbles and Umbrage specifically deal with implanting Russian fingerprints on that kind of evidence. Does this mean for certain it was done? No, but it's reasonable doubt in light of the fact the FBI has never examined the physical evidence themselves (nor have the NSA or CIA since the DNC refused to hand over the server).

But for your last point, I agree. Trump could have handled this better publicly. Without question.

  Reveal hidden contents

Completely speculating now as an aside: I would suggest that what you're describing as capitulation is something else. Trump threatened Putin's oil pipeline and piggy bank specifically. Then you have Putin willingly throwing out the dirt on the US IC funneling 400 million dollars to the Clinton campaign. Capped off by the DOJ arresting a Russian for FARA violations over the weekend - but holding the announcement until immediately after the summit concluded. I noted in my (limited) play-by-play of the summit today that there was a lot of obvious coordination in Putin and Trump's responses...

I think it's possible (if not likely) Trump and Putin have been trolling the world for over two years. Not in a collusion-to-get-elected kind of way. But in a !@#$ the cabal/establishment way. This game is global after all.

Yes, but the indictment cites specific methods of access, dates, spoof email addresses, etc...   That alone is not enough evidence to convict but it does show how the thefts of info happened so they must have underlying evidence to tie it up. You wouldn't need the server to investigate this as the host would likely have all the needed info and experts can dig past the attempts to mask it.

In the current environment though it's hard to have unwavering confidence in anything the IC is producing on this matter.

Putin in his interview with Wallace had pretty weak explanations when asked about his country's involvement, but you can't expect the likes of him or Trump to fully understand the nitty gritty of the evidence.  Putin said little to knock out the legs of support for the allegations.

Not sure where it’s all heading, Trump is doing a good job and all the liberals are melodramatic every day.

I agree. As usual with the left, whatever they say the opposite is true. The voice of reason:

"We’ve reviewed the current status and prospects of the Russia-US ties, key issues of the international agenda. It’s obvious that the bilateral relations are undergoing a difficult stage, but these difficulties, tensions between our countries have no objective reasons. The era of ideological confrontation between our countries is long gone, the situation in the world has changed drastically,” Putin said.

Can you imagine if that satanic like shrew got elected? She would eventually have us in wars with NK and the Russians.

I don't disagree with the bulk of this, only highlighting the bold to make a point (not to you because your middle paragraph makes the same).

Considering how the investigators have gone out of their way to avoid investigating in full (haven't contacted Assange, haven't examined the central piece of evidence of the "hack" claim), how hard do you expect them to dig past attempts to mask it? Especially when we know the very same experts doing that digging have the cyber tools (and protocol) for creating masks on masks?

Wow. What a magical world you guys live in.  I often think to myself when I read blind Trump worship that these people can't be that clueless. But I guess there is no depth people can't reach. I weep for the country.

You are not privy to the Mueller investigation. What do you know about who or what's been looked at? For months Trump lovers demanded results. How many indictments do you need? And Mueller's not done yet. The crapstorm is still brewing while you keep telling yourself it's fake news and deep state

I think it's entirely possible for Mueller's crew to find evidence pointing to Russians and not go any further while knowing they could/should go further.

He chose to believe Putin over his own intelligence people. He took a totally off-the-record meeting with Putin after 12 Russian agents were indicted by our Justice Dept. What more do you want? Or are you going to play word games over the meaning of "sell out?"

Actually publicly Trump didn't take a side.  He said he was confident in what his intelligence people were telling him but also said that Vlad was pretty emphatic that they didn't do it.  He played it down the middle in public.  Unfortunately we the public will probably never see the evidence which is unfortunate because there is a lot of private sector know-how on this that could evaluate it.  More private sector expertise than that of the feds probably.
