He won't win CA's electoral votes, but they're doing this in an effort to artificially inflate the "popular vote" numbers for the Democrat sacrificial lamb.

Trump got just under 4.5 million votes in 2016 from California.

Except 4.5M votes in CA is just a smidge over 11.2%, giving the D 89% of the CA votes.

Saw the thread below this weekend. Look closely. If you eliminate the electoral college and go to popular vote, you can have a scenario where the R wins 48 states by 54% margin, but D wins NY, CA and DC by 75% margin (highly likely), the D wins the election.

Three states pick the president.

CA McDonalds worker gives birth at work, tries to drown newborn in toilet, gets caught, gets arrested, receives no jail time, must attend parenting classes.

"Okay, so for today's class, let's turn to the Lesson 1: "Drowning your newborn in toilet water is kinda not okay by some people's standards."

That'll be ok under the new 'Retroactive Women's Choice Act' fast tracking its way through Sacramento.

Of course, McDonalds will still be required to give her six months paid leave for giving birth to a non-human being.

I actually had to google that to be sure you were joking.

I knew a few who didn’t know until they gave birth. Never a second time.

I know a man whose wife didn't know twice. Boggles the mind, but it's not like that's the kind of thing you tell about yourself as a lie.

They Got Rich Off Uber and Lyft. Then They Moved to Low-Tax States.

The subtext here is, of course, that they have a moral obligation to pay California taxes because they at one time lived there.

The comments on that NYT article are some of the dumbest things I've ever read.  "He moved from California, so now we're subsidizing his diet!"  "He deprived people of their civil right to see Avengers: Endgame!"  Literally gatorman-level dumb.

This has always baffled me.....is this because the women is so fat already she doesn't notice the extra gigantic bulge in her stomach?

Have they canceled the IPO after the big strike yesterday brought Uber to their knees?

I'm not used to hearing Austin referred to as "low-tax". Texas may have no state income tax, but Austin's property taxes are the highest in the state. It's the most expensive place to live in Texas, and it's getting more so all the time.

That still baffles me.  Uber advertises their driver positions as "work on your own schedule."  How is it a strike if you decide not to work for a day?

Remember when the 'gig economy' was all progressive and cool?

No.  But then, I read liberal sites that decried it as oppressive because it disempowered unions.

Those same sites were celebrating this "strike," of course, because liberals have no capacity for consistency.

That was the case with the person I know. According to legend, the first one started delivery while she was in the hot tub with her husband. Not sure how you don't realize you haven't had a period for more than half a year...but who knows.

Hmmm...I wonder why.

Oh, wait. No I don't. Austin is known as THE new hotspot for CA liberals who think their ideology works if they can just elect the right people to implement it.

On a side note, I have an employee commissioning a system in SFO near Union Square. He's been there plenty of times, and last night called to tell me what an utter schitthole SFO has become. Everything you hear is true: mumbling homeless, feces, syringes...just disgusting.

But hey...how about that view, amirite?

Downtown/Market Street/Union Sq., etc. is awful and as advertised.  It's like the whole Tenderloin slum moves south for the day.   Ironically, rich capitalists like the head of Salesforce are now taking on the challenge of fixing it since the government liberals have no answers.

That said, you really don't see that crap (literally and figuratively) in most of the city.   The Mission has always been sketchy, but even there it seems to be different than what they permit in the downtown sewer.

And of course, there are no cops here.   Still amazes me when compared to NYC where you see them everywhere, all the time.
