Well, I'm not going to make this bigger than an internet comment. I just found it silly.

The prison system needs an overhaul, but throwing all the evil guys into woodchippers isn't the solution.

If I was tasked with the responsibility of his discipline than I would have no qualms. If I had to use lethal force to have stopped him, it'd be the same. But I would not actively looking to hurt the dude or wish I'll will upon him. C'est la vie

Would you feel okay if your lethal force had friendly fire consequences?

I mean... You'd have to, right?

All part of the job...

Nope. Kill'm all and let God sort'm out.

[Seriously, did you ask this question?]

So what punishment do you want the kid to get?   Slap on the wrist. Bad boy.

do you want him to serve any jail time?

There's punishment, and there's revenge.  The difference is the emotional satisfaction you derive from the act.  And deriving emotional satisfaction or satisfying an emotional need from the death of someone else is the defining trait of a serial killer.

The kid needs to be studied and disected on a mental level.

There is nothing new that would be learned. Science and criminologists are well beyond this dude. Profiling is so ridiculously fine tuned that this kid is just a drop in the bucket of life.

Because he has parents and a family.  They, too, are victims.  Anyone wishing that a 17-year-old, or anyone for that matter, commits suicide is failing to look at the bigger picture, in my opinion.  Anyone wishing that parents lose their child, regardless of the situation, must not understand the bond between parents and their child.

I honestly don't get this train of thought.  At all.

They don’t have a son... they have an animal that needs put down. If you take a life(s) in cold blood, then yours should be taken also.

I wish those parents lost their son the day he shot up the school. I don’t understand the line of thinking, wanting to keep that kind of animal alive. If he commits suicide, oh well. I’d rather they let the families of the deceased dole out the execution.

Consistent.  A lot couldn't sleep like a baby @ night.

Yeah, it’s best to stay outside hiding behind a cop car, so you bullets don’t accidentally hit an innocent person. Worked well in Florida.

There's always the China method.  Show trial, then drag them out back and cap them over a pit.

The Japanese method is worse. You're put on death row for an indefinite amount of time as far as your concerned. You have no idea that today's the day till they unlock the cell.

California method is even worse.  You're put on death row.  They keep you wondering about your execution date until you die of old age.

Why?  Isn't it life?

Look @ the woman walking her baby across the street in FLA... Run down by street racers.

Sorry Snowflakes, everyday can be your last. It's called: Life.

I haven't read the thread yet, but since murder has no statute of limitations, charger with the murder of a majority of the people killed, and then hold off 2 years for the others. Then he can get sentenced to death.

You do realize it goes by when they commit the crime, not when the trial is, right? Also, even if he is a scumbag, he has the right to a quick and speedy trial.
