This draft is bringing out the worst in some people, between this and it's polar opposite, the "Josh Rosen is a spoiled rich kid" comments. They're both damn good football players, and if I was under this kind of scrutiny when I was 21 years old I don't think I would have come off nearly as good as either of them on the "character issues." He could end up being awesome. The lack of info about private workouts, interest, rumors linking Bills and Jackson reinforces that even more. Josh Allen is hyped so much, but Lamar Jackson is probably the better player, and probably a better fit for Daboll. Was he one of the 30 predraft visits? I'm not saying that he will but I am saying that he is talented enough to be considered in the discussion of a candidate to be. As it stands I'm open to a variety of routes as to how the Bills address the qb position. If they stand pat and draft Jackson and keep their picks it would be a reasonable approach to take. The only private meeting they have had with him is at the combine . I’m not even sure if Beane and McD were at his pro day or if it was Terrance Gray, but the only private meetings he had there were with the Chargers and Titans. The Bills appear to have met him for a grand total of 15 minutes. I just don’t think they would base the biggest decision of their careers on such little info. I'd be disappointed if we have to "settle" for him at 12, but really ... this is a very intriguing QB with tremendous talent and a proven record of success in college, and there's a reasonably good chance that he'll be an excellent NFL QB. THis is my feeling as well......if we ended up drafting him my viewpoint is he would be the best qb coming out NEXT year but we got him a year early so he could hold the clipboard for a year and work on his throwing mechanics.
