Let's say we take Mayfield at #7

Recommended Posts

If Buffalo has drafted a QB at #12, a trade down from #22 is certainly in play.  It depends less on what Buffalo can do to screw up NE's draft than what players are available to Buffalo at 22 and what they can get by trading the pick.  Picking up another 2nd or 3rd round pick would be terrific, however, because you figure you can get a starter in that range.

Way too much to move up 5 spots IMO

Exactly.  This scenario does not exist.

well based on what the jets gave to move up 3 spots and with us probably bidding against miami it might not even be enough

Does it really change anything? So we trade up and take Rosen, Darnold or Allen, does that detail really matter?

We trade up and take a QB at 7, Rudolph and Jackson is there at 22, do we intentionally trade out with a QB needy team to screw NE?

nope we get our qb and with the extra pick moving down get another prospect for the roster.

What does matter is who else is available at 22. Our team's roster priorities will come before trying to screw NE based on what we think they might do. They've got 23 & 31. If they want a QB they can easily jump over Arizona and take one.

First, Mayfield isn't making it out of the top 5... You can take that to the bank... Elway isn't gonna sit there with Mayfield staring him in the face and not draft him...  And the Bills will either trade up to #2 or #4...

Cant see that happening. Neither Brownsor Giants will want to more than a couple spots.

If Bills try to trade to 6-9 teams are going to want everything. There will be nothing left to get to 2 or 4.

Jets gave up a couple of 2nd round picks.

They gave up 3 actually. I say we keep our two seconds this year and the second next year and just do the two firsts. If it’s both firsts this year fine. But I think I’d rather do this year and next years first

one is next year.

3 2nds to put them in position to get their guy?  That's nothing.
