I mean...he IS a bit of a head case but man did he have potential that first year till Shanahan ruined him

In what way did Shanahan ruin him?   RGIII Is a failure because he cannot stand in the pocket and read a defense and hasn't bothered to try to learn how .     Was part of the one year read option fad along with Kap.

Why not?

Talented guy..........injuries were an issue but I think he mainly failed because he was just lazy and didn't want it.

If he found the love of the game in it's absence he could be a nice pickup.

RG3 has more arm talent than Kaep..........Kaep has a cannon but just one speed.

Plus Kaep's GF tweeting that pic of the Ravens owner Steve Biscotti and Ray Lewis as Calvin Candie and Stephen kinda' sealed his chance of EVA-EVA-EVA playing for Baltimore.

I mean that was a pretty good movie..

Good for him. I've always felt bad for him. Forced to play injured and never recovered. He lost all confidence. Hope he makes a comeback.

Griffin's problem has been that he never adjusted to the pro game.  Even if he'd never been injured, he would have failed once defenses figured him out.  It's the very same reason so many young QBs light up the league for a season or two and then crash and burn.

Ahhhhh yes. RG3....

Redskins receive: 2012 first-rounder (No. 2: QB Robert Griffin III)
Rams receive: 2012 first-rounder (No. 6: Traded to Cowboys), 2012 second-round selection (No. 39: CB Janoris Jenkins), 2013 first-rounder (No. 22: Traded to Falcons), 2014 first-rounder (No. 2: OT Greg Robinson)

good times for ‘skins fans.

Good thing the Deadskins wasted that 2012 fourth rounder on that skinny kid named Cousins.

Ahhh Baltimore. Sooner or later we knew your franchise roots would show...and you would slowly but surely morph into the Browns.

Actually, the Raven's Browns roots are the winning branch of the Cleveland Browns family.  They are the descendents of the original Cleveland Browns of the All American Conference, Jim Brown, NFL Champion Browns.

The current Cleveland Browns are the adopted children who have the name but not the DNA.

OK so your saying you do not remember playing him hurt?

He was hurt because he didn't know how to be a QB.  He was hurt because he ran too much and took too many hits.  He ran too much and took too many hits because he's a ****ty QB.  It's really pretty simple.

Yup. They have a sub .500 record in 6 seasons to show for it, a 35 year old free agent rental and a decimated roster.

#BETTHEFARM can’t miss

Things would have been much worse without Cousins, though.  He was just about the only thing the Skins have had for the last few years.

Its amazing the revisionist history.....

RG III looked outstanding that first year....right up until he got hurt.

You can say he didnt have the intestional fortitude to overcome that.....but that is what happened

No one can deny that he had a fantastic rookie campaign.  But the fact is that he was never good again after that season.  Whether he was hurt, or healthy, he was still horrible.

Yes....QBs automatically become horrible if they never had it to begin with......

Yes ... opposing defenses adjust and exploit crappy QBs' weaknesses.  All the time.  The good QBs counter-adjust.  The bad ones lose their jobs.
