He wants to be a starting QB in this league and will continue to pursue it. I loved his passion on the Bills for the 1st 2 years. It's just time for OBD and him to find another avenue. I really believe that OBD is doing everything they can to upgrade the QB position but they maybe are thinking, "If everything goes against us and all our options turn to pooh, we may need him for a few games in 2018", maybe. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I see someone reference how long they've been around something conjoined with a statement like the rest of that, I think the connotations are "well I have a strong sense of what I want to and think will happen, but I've seen some crazy stuff in all these years." Some read it as gospel that TT will remain in the team in 2018 while others are reading it as ambiguous. He is here “now”. Now is or can be a relative term. Was there a guarantee or a vote of confidence? We all know how a vote of confidence goes in the NFL. Did McDermott say that Tyrod Taylor is the starter for 2018? Im not saying that's what they are thinking, my point is that whether they want to keep him or not....what are they supposed to say at the moment?
