House Opens Investigation Into Wife Beatergate

Wow, what a bad news day for the Trumpkins! IG report on VA travel finds the head of that department used tax payer funds to fly his wife around. For those keeping score at home, that's five Trump department heads under investigation by the IG.

Stormy Daniels is back in the news for several reason, as her hush money arraignment may have violated federal law, and she says she is free to tell her story! But below is a big story with an even bigger implication for Trumpland. If Porters security clearance is an issue, so will be Jared Kushners, who is all sorts of conflicted and open to blackmail. It's been reported he reads the daily intelligence reports! This is the guy deeply in debt, who sought out Putin's bank and wanted a secret back channel to Russia. This will not end well...

The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into the White House’s hiring of Rob Porter, Chairman Trey Gowdy told CNN’s New DayWednesday morning. According to the South Carolina Republican, the investigation was launched Tuesday night. “You can call it official. You can call it unofficial,” he said. “I’m going to direct questions to the FBI that I expect them to answer. And if they don’t answer them, then they’re going to need to give me a really good reason.” In a letter to White House chief of staff John Kelly, the committee said it would be investigating “the extent to which any security clearances issued to Porter comported with” polices normally undertaken for clearances at the Executive Branch. The committee gave the White House until February 28th to hand over requested information, including when the White House knew about “became aware of potential derogatory or disqualifying information[.]” This comes after FBI Director Christopher Wray testified to Congress about the timeline of information about Rob Porter the bureau gave to the White House. Wray’s recount contradicted the White House narrative.

Imagine that.... a party that takes responsibility to investigate one of their own for possible breaking of protocol instead of turning a blind eye.

Just wait till they try circulating a memo that says the women beat themselves

Or that hat it was Hillary who beat them

"Breaking of protocol?"  They're investigating the hiring of someone accused of something.

Jesus...even I've been accused of sexual assault.

No you got it all wrong, we need to focus on Trump and his behavior during the 2016 election when Trump beat a woman

Nine days into the Rob Porter scandal, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is pushing for senior officials who made the decisions surrounding the former White House staff secretary's security clearance to take over the task of explaining—and defending—those decisions to the public.

Since Tuesday, when FBI director Chris Wray in testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee contradicted her account of how Porter’s background check was handled, Sanders has moved to have White House counsel Don McGahn or chief of staff John Kelly brief the press directly, according to a person close to the White House.

This ought to be a hoot.

It already is. Sanders refusing to talk about it is funny enough, that she is saying Kelly needs to get his lying ass out there and explain why a wife beater who couldn't get a  security clearance was working in the WH. I'd love to see Kelly have to explain himself on that and why he totally made up a complete lie/slander about a Florida Rep Wilson.

It's been a really bad week for the President

Gotta be glad this was happening when a Dem wasn't in the WH.

Given how the entire DNC covered their extensive list sexual predator donorss, you have to figure they'd take a wife beater and just hand him a Senate seat.

Could you imagine, though, if President Clinton were caught beating her husband?
