Why tho?

The playoff chances are still alive and the AFC situation remains fluid. So does the Bills QB situation. If the Bills lose another game ( other than to the Pats) the QB decision will probably change. It's still too early.

Thats true 3 points  a game will give us a shot to make the playoffs.

I'm talking purely in a mathematical sense, which is what a HC is going to look at. Seeing as the Bills haven't averaged 3 ppg all season, a coach isn't going to assume his team is incapable of a better offensive output. If NP had led a few scoring drives, maybe McD' s decision would be different.
