Heres your stats:

Tyrod is 6ft ( not 6ft 1 inch as he claims)

Our O linemen are:

Seantrel 6ft 7

Cordy 6ft 6

Dawkins 6ft 6

Wood 6ft 4

Ducasse 6ft 6

So Tyrods Height to O Line Ratio is -4 inches on average.

Look at the winning teams this year and over the last five years. The standard QB to o-line ratio is -1 to zero. (The higher the QB height to oline ratio the better).

That being said, our oline is wayyyy too tall for our QB.

Whats the answer? Draft and acquire shorter and squattier olineman. Ideally we need olineman 5ft8inches to 5ft10inches at 320-330 pounds.

Heres why:

1) Shorter O Lineman, then Tyrod can see better. Same with TEs. Shorter the better.

2) Before anyone says shorter guys arent able to manage an o line, think of this: back in 1976, the Dolphins had a shorter oline and dominated.

3) You ever hear the expression low man wins???? Well, lets put our money where our mouth is and get a head start. Low man (shorter man) is already 40% of the way there...and if the lower/shorter/squattier man wins, I see no downside.

So Im pretty sure the shorter the olineman, the better. Flame away if you want but the stats speak for themselves.

If I remember, that kid that played Webster put on about 200lbs. Maybe he could play RG?

Your not getting it?

Shorter people have better center of gravity. Why do you think McD drafted short LB'ers

Read the article please.

Small clip:

Linebackers

A shorter linebacker can be an outstanding run defender and might have an advantage over a taller linebacker in that area. Linebackers often have to take on offensive linemen before making the tackle. A shorter linebacker can get underneath the blocker and neutralize the offensive lineman's size and strength. He can then play off the block and make the tackle. Shorter linebackers use their quickness and aggressiveness to shut down the running game.

Center of Gravity

A shorter player also has an advantage over a taller player because he has a lower center of gravity. The lower you hit your opponent, the more force you have. You will be able to drive your opponent backward when you hit him lower than he hits you. Coaches at all levels constantly preach that "low man wins" in all individual blocking and tackling drills, and that applies to running backs who are blocking.
